Conway is a primary school that is happy, caring and secure, which values children's contributions and believes that the key to achievement is high self-esteem. We promote respect, trust, understanding and tolerance within our school community. These values are held in high regard and contribute to children achieving their full potential and high standards.
Following our most up-to-date risk assessment, parents will once again not be allowed in to the school playground apart from the Reception Year Group whilst children are settling in. However, to ensure less crowding around the school gates we have updated our procedure to allow both the large and small entry gates to be allowed for all drop-offs.

At Conway we believe that children succeed best when they are secure, confident and interested in what they are doing. We aim to ensure that the values of the school reflect children's backgrounds, cultures and the wider society in which we live. The principles of Equality and Diversity are central to our work and we ensure that every child is able to develop his or her abilities and talents to the full.
I would like to extend a warm welcome to Conway Primary School and in particular the website pages relating to the work of the governing body. Each governor is driven by the desire to ensure all our pupils fulfil their individual potential and that the school increases their life chances. Conway is a fantastic school to work in and each governor brings a high level of professionalism and dedication to the role.
We work in partnership with Greggs foundation which allows us to offer 100 free full time places to students from Reception to year 6. During breakfast club children get a drink which includes various juices, water and milk, cereal, fruit, and toast and they also have various activities set up daily to take part in.
This year the government has introduced Tax-Free Childcare, a new UK-wide scheme to help working parents pay for childcare. Parents will be able to open an online childcare account, which they will use to pay for their childcare directly.
For every 8 a parent pays in, the government will pay in an extra 2. Parents can receive up to 2,000 per child, per year, towards their childcare costs, or 4,000 for disabled children - separate from funded entitlements. The offer will be available for children up to the age of 12, or 17 for children who are disabled.
