Demesne Farm was built in 1780 (now a listed building) and has been converted into 5 luxury, self-catering holiday cottages located in Fylingdales, Whitby in North Yorkshire. Our self catering accommodation have 3 or 4 bedrooms with the main bedroom having an en-suite bathroom.

They all have two colour TVs (with 30 satellite channels and DVD player), internet access, and fully fitted kitchen with dish washer, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer and cooker. We are close to Robin Hood's Bay which was famous as a smugglers cove in the eighteenth and early nineteenth century.
This cottage boasts panoramic views over Robin Hood's Bay which you can enjoy on the patio area outside of the large bay windows. Bay View has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen/dining room and spacious lounge. Below you can see some images of inside the cottage to give you an idea of what to expect.
Entering the comfortable lounge there is a kitchen to the right which has a serving hatch to the dining area. The corridor then leads you onto the two twin rooms and the double room with en-suite bathroom. The cottage also has a family bathroom. You will also find a bay window in the corridor that provides a great view of the sea and a large field that contains some sheep you can feed.
Wheelhouse is so named because during renovation we found a perfect circle in the floor where the animals turned the machinery. This is why this cottage is slightly wider than the others. You enter the cottage through the kitchen which has a tiled floor and contains the same appliances as all the other cottages.

Had a fab stay. Great location. Great cottage. Lovely flat walk to the village. Close enough to Whitby to easily get. Good cycling for kids on the cinder track. Nothing not to like really!

Stayed a week at the bay cottage with 3 adults and a 3 year old daughter. Had a absolutely fantastic week. The cottage is spotless when we arrived and it was far bigger than we expected. Full use of washing machine and dishwasher in the cottage and tea and coffee provided on arrival with milk in the fridge. Even though we didn't have a car getting around was no problem as used 'Bay taxis' and they were fantastic as any trip was no problem and always were helpful in asking about getting around the local area. The owners were fantastic our june is great in getting to know the people that were staying

Just returned today and stayed at the wheel house cottage. Don’t normally leave reviews, although I should, but just wanted to make sure others were aware before booking. The cottages themselves are beautifully presented, spacious and clean with all facilities absolutely spot on to be fair.
The views are beautiful, although the weather wasn’t kind to us, but that’s how the cookie crumbles. If you like walking with the dog it’s fantastic ( why we booked) but please be aware of the following-
The distance to Robin hoods bay is quite a considerable up and down hill slog, not so much an issue

Everything we expected, from the website. A really delightful set of cottages surrounded by wonderful countryside & sea views. 4 of us with 2 dogs. Lots of places to go with or without dogs - they have some nice kennels where the dogs can be looked after! Its a nice walk into Robin Hood's Bay or Ravenscar. There is so much to do & see locally that a week is never enough. The cottages are very clean, well stocked, comfortable & warm - we had to turn down the heating!! - now that is pretty much unheard of - we usually have to turn it up!
