The Barn and The Cottage can be booked together and used as one property for larger groups / events - as they use the same entrance hall.
Our luxury holiday cottages are situated between the picturesque villages of Sleights and Ruswarp in Whitby. Both villages offer a number of shops, in particular in Sleights the famous Bothams Bakery is a place to indulge yourself and in Ruswarp Jacksons Butchers offers an excellent selection of local meats, pies and other products.

Our Whitby town property offers a unique holiday accommodation venue in this long established popular destination. Squeezed between the sea and the North York Moors, Whitby has guarded its identity and maintained its historic charm. With unique architecture, a maze of narrow cobbled streets and winding alleyways it offers an experience for all ages.

Whitby is traditional maritime town, with old cobbled streets, picturesque houses and a sandy Blue Flag beach, being a great place for a holiday or short breaks. Whitby is set among fine stretches of coast with spectacular cliffs, beaches, bays and is only a few miles from the beautiful North York Moors and is dominated by the cliff top ruins of a beautiful 13th century Abbey.
Carr Mount is situated right next to the river Esk so why not try your hand at catching a salmon or maybe even a sea trout on one of our three purpose-built fishing platforms? We also have the facilities to offer clay pigeon shooting right here on our grounds, whether you are a sharp shooter or a beginner we can guarantee an experience you will remember.
Carr Mount Estate is home to the stunningly renovated Carr Mount, a private Georgian country house set in beautiful grounds between Ruswarp and Sleights, near Whitby. The estate is available for hire for your perfect wedding or special event using our wonderful tipis. What we offer is a tailor made experience for you and your guests for an intimate wedding or celebration for three or more nights and many additional options.
