I hope our website gives you a flavour of what makes Surrey Street such a special place to learn and work. We are a family school, at the heart of the local community, dedicated to providing the very best learning experiences for our children. Visitors to the school always comment on the happy, productive atmosphere and the friendliness of pupils and staff.
We are a nurturing and vibrant school situated on the edge of the town centre. Smiles and laughter are a key part of each and every day. We have high expectations in all aspects of school life; visitors often comment on the high standards of behaviour and the warm welcome they receive.

We are no ordinary primary school - we have large classrooms, a dance studio, huge hall and stage along with amazing outside facilities which include 3 large well equipped playgrounds, tennis & basketball courts, our very own wooded area, lots of grassy space and spectacular views over to the airport! The school day starts at 8.55am and finishes at 3.30pm.
Our vision is for learning for life at Surrey Street, where the social, emotional, spiritual, physical and learning needs of every member of the school community are met. We at Surrey Street Primary School believe that education is a lifelong process with school playing a vital part in that process.
The school aims to provide high quality education for all children in line with the requirements of the National Curriculum and Local Authority policies. Wherever possible, cross-curricular dimensions and skills have also been identified.

These include citizenship, health education, careers, environmental education and financial capability, Equality of opportunity and multi-cultural education are also included as important elements of the school's curriculum. It is intended that the National Curriculum will not be the whole curriculum and that the curriculum provided in school will be one that is broad and balanced in nature.
Our vision is for learning for life at Surrey Street where the social, emotional, spiritual, physical and learning needs of every member of the school community are met. We want our children to become independent, confident, self-motivated and enthusiastic learners, having the self-esteem to both evaluate and extend their learning to achieve their full potential, within a secure, caring, happy environment.

If i could rate 0 i would. Its the worst school in Luton. Teachers come and leave because they cant take how corrupt the school is. I think that the school are very unprofetional and bring there personal opions into work. They are emtionally abuseive to children, also obssesive to they extent they may aswell be social workers.
There ofsted report has only improved due to new staff. The family workers are corrupt , judgmental, unhelpful and inhumane.
They seem to pick their favoruite familys and neglectful towards others.
Would NOT recomend this school to anyone!
Thanks for your time
