St Joseph's Catholic Primary School
St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School is a thriving community of enthusiastic children, dedicated and passionate staff and a committed and supportive Governing body. Each day we strive to explicitly live out the Catholic ethos and mission of our school and in partnership with parents we aim to provide the best possible education for all our children.

Everyone is invested in ensuring that our school provides the experience of a living, growing Christian environment for all members of our community, with Christ firmly at the centre of everything we do. So lovely to welcome all the children back to school this week. A great couple of days and it was wonderful to see the children back in the hall for assembly and smiling in the dining room at lunchtime.

We are a Catholic community that gives daily witness to the Gospel values proclaimed by Jesus. We plan and teach lessons that deepen pupils' knowledge and understanding and enable them to develop a range of skills across the curriculum. We offer a wide a range of activities and resources to support our curriculum and learning.
The composition of St. Joseph's Governing Body is made up of foundation governors, appointed by the Bishop of the Diocese, Local Authority (LA) representatives, staff governors and parent governors. Governors and school leaders have a shared vision for school improvement; high expectation and ambition drive the priorities for our learning community.
All members of staff at St. Joseph's make a valuable contribution to the day to day running of the school. The Governors employ qualified teachers, including specialist teachers who lead additional intervention programmes, music and modern languages throughout the school. Learning support assistants are deployed well, especially when working with pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities.
As a Roman Catholic primary school our mission is to provide a Catholic education that puts Christ firmly at the centre of everything we do. Our extremely strong Catholic identity permeates all areas of school life. Children are provided with rich opportunities to encounter God and high quality experiences of liturgy, supports their spiritual journey and allows them to deepen their relationship with God, as a loving compassionate Father.

This school refused to admit a child with disability, I was horrified at their behavior, considering its a faith school ,the head teacher without even seeing the child asked the mum to take her child to a special needs school., the child is now doing very well in a main stream school.
event happened this year 2014.
