Meet the Team. St Nicholas' PS boasts a team of extremely hard-working, dedicated, caring and committed staff. At present we have a Principal, seven full-time teachers including the Vice-Principal and one part-time teacher. We also have a team of seven learning support assistants and this is further complimented by an equally hard-working auxiliary team.
Governors work as a team we call the governing body. They are responsible for making sure the school provides a good quality education. Raising educational standards in school is now a key priority. This has the best chance of happening when there are high expectations of what pupils can achieve. Governors also promote effective ways of teaching and learning when setting the school aims and policies.
Congratulations to our School Council members, our Eco Council members and all of our new monitors for 2019-20! We wish you every success!. The Pupil Council are the representative voice of all our pupils and we have 2 class reps from each year group P1-P7. The Council also has an Executive Committee, formed by P7 pupils and a vote takes place each year to elect posts.
St. Nicholas' Primary has a strong tradition of involving parents in the life and work of the school. We have a very dedicated and hard-working Parent Support Group who support the school through various fundraising and volunteer work. Our PSG have secured funding for three year's website subscription as well as purchasing two Interactive Whiteboards and six iPads for classroom use.
