We are a two form entry community school serving the Birch Hill and Hanworth districts of Bracknell Forest. In addition to the main school, we offer a nursery and host an Inclusion Unit (KS2). Our Motto is: Learn, Believe, Achieve Together.

We set high standards of work and achieve this through providing a curriculum that also develops children's belief that they can achieve their highest aspiration, while working closely with parents and the whole community.Year 6 have an amazing cake made by Kelly and the kitchen team to mark the end of their time with Birch Hill.

We are proud of the values we hold most dear and the exemplary students that pass through our doors. Our emphasis upon learning, teaching and outstanding behaviour is reflected in each and every Ofsted report and our pupils are also renowned for their success in extra-curricular sporting activities at a local and national level.
We are a two form entry community school serving the Birch Hill and Hanworth districts of Bracknell Forest. In addition to the main school, we offer a nursery and host an Inclusion Unit (KS2). We can accommodate 420 children, plus 27 spaces in our nursery, which offers flexible 30 hours a week. The school is organised into two Key Stages - EYFS/ KS1 and KS2, with a Deputy Head leading each Key Stage.
Birch Hill is an inclusive and respectful school. In collaboration with parents, and the wider community, we work to enable all children to develop their aspirations. We believe that teaching and learning should be inspiring. We create challenging opportunities, which encourage children to develop respectful attitudes towards learning and all members of our school community.
Keeping children safe is our highest priority and a responsibility we take very seriously. Everyone who works at Birch Hill Primary School is responsible for the safeguarding of the children. We are obliged to act on any concerns. The Designated Senior Person for Child Protection (the person who deals with any referrals or concerns about Safeguarding of children in school) is Mr Dillon - Headteacher.
However, we also ask prospective parents to contact the school if you wish to attend one of our open sessions. Before the application process begins, the Bracknell Forest School Admissions Team hold information sessions to guide you through the process of applying. If you think that you may find this useful and are interested in attending a session then please call 01344 352000.

Report
Encouraging my grandson to do his homework, which he is fairly reluctant to do, I was struck by his comment that "This is a waste of time , they never look at it." I looked at his folder of homework for last half term and it seems he is right. There were no remarks positive or negative. No corrections of spelling or grammar. No ticks, comments or any sign that a teacher has looked at it. For an intelligent boy of eight to begin to think that schoolwork is a waste of time is the beginning of a slippery slope. I would appreciate any feedback from the school, or was this a waste of time too?
