Services
Davidson-Roberts group always employs the highest quality nursery staff dedicated to working in childcare. We strive to provide a welcoming and stimulating environment for the children in our care. The consistency and quality of staff is one of the many things we are well known for and is the reason why parents return with younger siblings.
Davidson Roberts was initially set up in 2006 with the purchase of our first nursery Buckden Day Nursery in Cambridgeshire. Since then, the group has grown steadily, acquiring several more nurseries and pre-schools. We also operate out of school and holiday clubs in the east of England. The ethos of our nurseries is to establish a home-from-home environment in which children feel settled and happy.
We are always looking for fun and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. Take a look at our current vacancies, experience and qualifications may not always be necessary so if you feel you would like to join us or if you see a job that you think you would love to do then get in touch. You know, the best way to find out what we're really like, is to come and see for yourself!
This group centres around making available a wide range of interesting and fun activities as the children begin to show increasing independence in moving, communicating and learning through free play. We promote gross motor skills to encourage the babies to crawl and walk. A wide variety of tactile activities develop fine motor skills and senses by using their hands and feet to explore the different textures.
We carry out a range of daily activities that allow the children to develop and learn through hands on experiences. For example, during a farmyard-themed painting exercise the children would paint animals, discuss and communicate their thoughts, feelings and experiences of a farm, learn to recognise colours, develop their skills holding a paint brush/pencil and develop the ability to interact within a group.

My daughter currently goes here. She started in January and has been enjoying it since. The staff are very sweet and kind to her and she is always happy to go. Even on days when she isn't happy, they always send me an update or picture to show she is feeling better.
They have been really great over the Covid pandemic and have ensured that the kids were safe but still felt comfortable. They have put together good safety measures and let us all know in a timely manner.

Avoid! Ofsted gave them a welfare requirements notice! my 2year old had gone to this nursery for over a year. Initially in the baby room and then in the toddler room. I tired to raise an issue once with staff behaviour and once with his nappy not being changed to the nursery manager (who I have been warned about in the past). no attempt at all to listen to what i might have said or apologise. the nursery is part of a chain, so i've just wondering whether, if i can be bothered to put a complaint in writing (and copy it to head office), it will make a blind bit of difference to the way they talk

My 2 year old came to the nursery full time two months ago. She came knowing a few basic words. Now she is putting sentences together and asking questions. I think being in a nursery setting does help with her speech alone but the one on one support she has with her key worker has been amazing. I'm so happy with the staff in mini mussels ❤️❤️❤️

My son has been at Royston day for 2 and a half years now, and has loved his time there. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, and his key workers have always been so invested in his development. I’m so happy we chose to send him here. He’ll be staying on at their preschool from September and will also be joined by his younger sister when she joins the baby class later this year.

The management and staff at the nursery are great, my daughter has been at the nursery for 2 years and I always feel reassured when I leave her that she is cared for and will definitely have lots of fun (even if she doesn't remember anything she does!!). We now have a second daughter who will attend the nursery when I return to work. Thank you Kyrie and the team.

Would just like say thank you to all of you who make the experience of leaving my Child easy, knowing he is safe and well cared for, but in a fun environment. At first he wouldn't speak, but with all the hard work and patience of your Staff, we can't stop him talking now. We owe you a lot. Thank You. X
