We just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work. Our girls absolutely love the school and all the staff, right from their own class teachers to all support staff. It just shows what a brilliant team you have. The teachers have been working so hard throughout lockdown to deliver in-school lessons as well as the home schooling work.
The quality of the work and information given to the home-schoolers is so high and really interactive. I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the effort that you've put in with the home schooling. You're making this weird situation much easier for us non-teacher parents!

Services
To provide a warm, caring, respectful, friendly and safe environment for every child and adult. To promote excellence by bringing learning alive; to engage, enthuse and inspire our learners, whilst teaching them the essential skills and strategies for the future. To nurture and develop talent and potential so that each member of the school community is valued and achieves success.
VbE is centred around core values which lead to improved behaviour, relationships, learning environment, personal wellbeing and attitudes to learning. This in turn leads to higher standards of attainment. To become a values-based school everyone has to feel valued and a part of the movement. When children start in Nursery or Reception they are introduced to the values in child-friendly language.
Last year, Wicklewood formed their first Eco-Committee with the aim of improving the school environment, giving pupils a voice to share their concerns about the environment and providing a platform for pupils to work with adults to create meaningful changes to reduce the environmental impacts of Wicklewood School.
The development of the children's skills and knowledge is central to Wicklewood's aim of providing the children with what they need for the future so they can thrive in the joy of life-long learning. We strive to provide an education that enables children to 'Be the Best You Can Be'.
It provides children with enriched curriculum opportunities to explore and develop their own values and beliefs; to have high standards of personal behaviour; to have a positive caring attitude towards other people; to have an understanding of their social and cultural traditions; and have an appreciation of the diversity and richness of other cultures, all within a safe learning environment.

Reading is at the heart of the curriculum at Wicklewood Primary School and Nursery. Our aim is for children to become confident and competent readers, by learning how to read words and developing comprehension across a range of genres. We aspire to give children a life-long love of reading for pleasure.
