I hope you have a few moments to spend exploring the site and find useful and interesting information about the school. Ensuring our children have access to a high-quality and engaging education is our core purpose in order to develop them as lifelong learners. One team - We listen to each other and value each other's opinions and we do as we are asked first time.
Worth Valley Primary School is a reading school. We aim to teach the skills of reading alongside developing a love of language and stories. My favourite children's author is Michael Morpurgo; has been for many years. I'd choose to read a Michael Morpurgo story over a "grown-up's" book any day, even though I'm an adult!

Services
Over the academic year we provide a variety of opportunities for our children to attend school clubs. Some of these take place all year round and some change half termly. At Worth Valley Primary School, safeguarding is of paramount importance. We are committed to ensuring the welfare and safety of all our children and staff in school.
School provides a Breakfast Club for the children each morning. It operates from 7.45 - 8:45am. Your child needs to be supervised until the club opens at 7:45am. Children must arrive no later than 8:30am as the doors will be closed promptly to enable the staff and children to clean up and be ready for class at the beginning of the school day.
I am able to refer to other agencies for example a health visitor or school nurse if you are worried about your child's health, stronger families if you would like support looking for work. If you are financially struggling I can support you. There is help available, please just ask. Homestart- They offer help from trained volunteers to families when they are struggling.
Nursery children have spent the past few weeks settling in brilliantly and developing relationships with their teachers and peers. They have been settling in to routines amazingly and the teachers have done lots of work to ensure the children feel safe, secure and are most importantly happy.

We've spent our first few weeks settling in to our new routines and getting to know each other. We've had lots of fun, shared lots of stories and enjoyed using all the resources available to us. Alphablocks, Numbertime and Numberblocks are great for helping us with numbers, sounds and words. At Worth Valley Primary School, safeguarding is of paramount importance.
