Our Lady of Peace is an outstanding Catholic school. The headteacher, strongly supported by her dedicated team of senior leaders and governors, communicates her vision of God's love embracing every member of the community and instils in her pupils the habit of prayer and care for each other. The school has been on an academic and spiritual journey since its amalgamation in 2016 and much has been accomplished in the intervening years.
The senior leadership team have worked tirelessly to achieve the now seamless transition and the school as it is today is a tribute to their efforts. Children are at ease in their environment which gives them the confidence to learn and take risks without fear of ridicule. Pupils have a good knowledge and understanding of their faith and contribute enthusiastically in lessons and collective worship.

Governors are one of the largest volunteer forces in the country and have an important part to play in raising school standards. The role of the governing board is absolutely key to the effectiveness of a school. Ofsted (the national inspection body for schools) has noted that the most effective schools demonstrate effective leadership and management - including by the governing board.
I am married with two children who attend Our Lady of Peace. I am a qualified counsellor working in a Primary and Secondary school. Prior to that I was a member of the Royal Air Force and worked in air traffic control before leaving to work in a private company operating and managing private jets. I joined the board of governors in 2017 as I want to play an active part in supporting our school to help our children achieve their full potential.
We are a mixed Catholic Voluntary Aided School with a Nursery Class, situated in the Parish of Our Lady of Peace, Burnham. The school which was established in 1961, became a First School in 1975 and an Infant School in 1996. In 2016 the Infant School amalgamated with the Junior School to form Our Lady of Peace Catholic Primary and Nursery School.
The Pupil Premium is allocated to children from low-income families who are currently known to be eligible, or have been eligible for free school meals (FSMs) in the last six years and looked after children (LAC). As a group, children who have been eligible for Pupil Premium tend to have consistently lower educational attainment than their peers.

I have been at this school before and im being completely honest. The studens were lovely and playfull, most teachers were really mean and had teachers pets. The headteacher is barely with children and my new one is always with children, i understand your busy but please show some care. Also the food is grim sorry but i couldnt eat it! The education is TERRIBLE i was so enormously dumb but when I moved i started to get smart im my new school. Please fix this but overall i had a great time :)
