On behalf of myself, the pupils, the staff and governors at Holly Park, I would like to welcome you to our website - do take the time to look around. I hope that it gives you an insight and flavour into our welcoming, warm and friendly school, here in Friern Barnet. Holly Park is a happy, caring primary school where we pride ourselves on getting to know our children and families.
We work hard to achieve high standards in all areas of the curriculum and to develop children who are well-rounded individuals. We also support our pupils in developing self-esteem, confidence and curiosity as they develop into happy and successful citizens of the future and as they develop their own individual strengths and talents.

Services
At Holly Park, we intend for our pupils to gain a broad and coherent knowledge of history. We aim to ignite childrens' curiosity of the past by allowing opportunities for them to investigate, observe and interpret historical sources (primary and secondary). Throughout their time at Holly Park, pupils will be encouraged to think critically about the history of Britain and the wider world.
To equip all pupils with the self-confidence necessary to constructively influence their own lives and to develop into caring competent adults;. To ensure that all pupils have an equal opportunity to take part in the life and work of the school;. Work to ensure all learners succeed in an environment that is welcoming, secure and stimulating.
Holly Park is a large two form entry primary school (with one bulge year) with a nursery. We are a happy, ambitious and inclusive school and I am very proud to be the Head Teacher of such a richly diverse school community in which families of different languages, cultures and religions learn together in harmony.
The new approach to school improvement focuses on those aspects of the education strategy that relate most directly to school improvement.
It faces up to the key challenges faced by the education service and schools in Barnet and proposes practical measures to develop the more autonomous and self-improving schools system to which the strategy aspires, building on the principles set out in the strategy about schools being responsible for their own improvement.Every Barnet school should be part of a formal school partnership with a number of other schools.

If your child has achieved something outside school which you would like to share with us you can email Mrs Pelham on head@hollypark.barnetmail.net. If you are including a photo please ensure that there are no other children on the picture. At the beginning of lockdown Chokhmah from Y6 last year wrote a poem for one of his home learning tasks called "Isolation".

This is a place where children's toys are confiscated and never given back. Where the school is always broke. Where children are hit by teachers (multiple occasions where my sister was hit by the maths teacher). Where teachers have so called "favourites" thus leaving other kids' out of activities such as show and tell/story times. Where they ban the ice cream truck so they can sell their own overpriced ice lollies to the limited few who get their first (a lot of children end up missing out!!). They have non-school uniform days not for charity, but to raise money for the school itself which can
