A unique place to stay. We had an executive twin with a view onto the bustling streets below. A good location in an area full of colour and yet close to the financial centre. A good sized room for two and windows down the length of the room. I also loved the wooden floors and bath tub. The beds were comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean.

Helpful staff allowed me to check in early so I could drop my things off. Room is pretty small, you get what you pay for. However, it is cozy and everything needed is here. I thought it was really cool that you put your key card into a slot to turn on the lights and give power to the room. Brilliant idea that I have never seen anywhere else. They ask for your phone number at the time of check in and message asking if everything is ok. One of the best experiences I've had at a hotel.

The hotel was not good. I stayed at what they call an Executive King. But that is a serious overstatement. The bed was standard double not king. There is no basin in the toilet. After finishing your business you have to walk to the other side of the room for a wash. The staff weren't exactly courteous. They were almost like statues. The worst of all is the area. One of the worst. I should have done my research and asked my company to book me a stay in a nicer location.

Great for business travelers, particularly those who are in town, working in East London, and seeking an economic place to sleep. Definitely a tight squeeze, and there isn't much room to store your belongings, so you really have to forge a plan when it comes to the closet, working space (it's literally right next to your sink, which is literally at the foot of your bed). The shower head is a mere few feet away from the toilet, which is a little strange and reminds me a bit of a prison cell from a movie, but I've dealt with worse cramped space on a cruise ship.

The Whitechapel Hotel London is exactly in the Whitechapel neighbourhood. Easily accessible by the London busses and only 1 minute walk from the bus stop.
The hotel itself has a marvellous restaurant and the rooms are designed very lovely!
I can only recommend the hotel, which I booked through the nicely designed website for the best price.

Booking hotels in London can sometimes feel like a job in itself. Recently visiting for the Festival of Marketing at Tobacco Dock, I was looking for somewhere close to the venue, close to public transport, and in an area I felt safe enough in on my own.
Eventually, we managed to find The Whitechapel. Located on New Road in Whitechapel, it's a very central location - a 10 minute walk to Whitechapel station, or about 20 minutes to Shadwell, which is also connected to the DLR.
Check in was easy, but not the friendliest. Arriving out of 'usual' hours, this was definitely the security
