A gorgeous building. Converted prison. The design celebrates the history with many tributes.
My stay was for a few days. Bedding was getting a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise it's a great spot.
Location. London Tower is a 2 minute walk
Amenities. All you need. Bar, food, etc...
Service. Excellent.
Bartender. Know their craft.
I'll book here again.

I would like to start out by saying my daughter and I arrived at this property and when we walked through the doors we were excited with her choice. It really is a great building! (that's where it ends). As we headed to the front desk to check in we were told by the manager on duty, Lukas, that their system was down and that we could have a seat in the bar and have a drink on the house while they try and figure out where to put us. That seemed alright although it was late at night and we had been traveling all day. We sat and waited. My daughter travels every week and does choose to stay

If you're ever in London and not staying with us, you should definitely stay at autograph collection @thedixonlondon right outside @towerbridge . This is the big, gorgeous bridge where the most recent @spiderman movie was filmed. It it's absolutely GORGEOUS. It just opened last December and it's a historical building that used to be a courthouse, police stationand prison from around the year 1902 with 193 rooms. OR, just pop by for some instagram photos and grab a drink at @barcourtroom which is a cool bar in the hotel that used to be the actual courtroom from the 1900's with

Great hotel on our long stop over in London. Steps from the tower bridge, this hotel is chic, modern, and comfortable.
We arrived early and our room wasn't ready yet, but a nice woman at the front gave us a tour of the property to explain its history and quarks and provided us with complimentary coffee at their restaurant while we waited.
Rooms was nicely appointed with wonderful pillow top bed and gorgeous bathroom and shower.
We would stay here again on our next trip to London.

I believe Cecil is Greek for outstanding customer service. Coincidentally its also the name of the front desk manager at the Dixon hotel in London by the Tower/London Bridge. The only thing bigger than his capacity to provide goodness to customers is his smile that spans across continents. I called the hotel while in the United States and I was lucky that Cecil answered the phone. He was just as brilliant over the phone as he was in person. Yes I travel the world and yes I have seen both spectrum of customer service and I can confidently say that Cecil is at the top end of the customer service

I've been to London 4 times this year and stayed mostly at Marriott's.
The Dixon is an absolute must visit.
Most Marriott's around the world are very American and lack local flair and charm.
The Dixon is the opposite. You would never know you are a block from Tower Bridge and tourist central. It's clean and quiet yet has a hustle all its own.

It is quiet and refined with an emphasis on the guests experience. They roast their own coffee which is also quite good. The bar staff is exceptional.

It's not a great place to work from your room as there is no desk in mine

Nice accommodation in the center of Tower Bridge area. Walking distance to both Tower Hill and London Bridge station. We opted for the breakfast inclusive Bonvoy package. We're not thrilled with the three menu options especially if you're staying more than three days and we stayed for five.
The high point for us were the hotel decor and the friendly staff.

Fantastic hotel on Tower Bridge. I usually stay closer in to the financial district but as a Marriott person, I was thrilled to find this place. The property is an old magistrate court and they bask in every detail, from old restored benches to holding cell keys molded in to the elevator banks. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very nice and well appointed. I highly recommend this hotel.

What an outstanding visit at the Dixon. I have historically stay closer to Hyde Park and decided to give the Dixon a try (better prices at booking). Of course the Marrriott Autograph Collection property had amazing service -- but I was very happy with the location (close to so many restaurants) and the great guest rooms. The property was recently renovated, so it still smelled new.

Probably the highlight of the time spent at the Dixon was in the cocktail bar. Our bartender Alex was fantastic --- personal, professional and friendly. Whether there was several folks or just a handful of us, he made

Negative experiences, but made right by management

Hotel didn't honor reservation (was for a king, ended up in a twin in the lower ground floor, which is about as lovely as you would imagine)

Was seated for a simple hotel breakfast, restaurant half full, waited 10 minutes and never saw a waiter, left... not worth the wait. On bright side ended up doing what I should have in first place, which is breakfast in the city

Rooms seem newly refurbished and comfortable bed, but obviously too small given circumstances

Very quaint hotel blocks from the bridge in an old magistrates building from 1905. Original floor in the lobby and the bar is where one of the judges benches used to be. Cell doors are used in Provisioners Restaurant as decoration. Nicely appointed rooms with comfy bed, and room to move around. Quiet rooms so a good night sleep is easy to have. * I did have a challenge with the climate control unit. There is an on/off button on the top right corner of the wall mounted control unit. Very hard to see but if the unit is not turned on, you can change the settings on the control unit but nothing
