Carr Mill Primary is a caring, nurturing community, with a team of staff who are committed to ensuring the needs of all children are at the heart of everything the school does. We provide a stimulating, inclusive curriculum with a varied range of engaging opportunities for children to extend their learning.

We aim to ensure that our children get an exceptional start to their school life in Nursery and Reception, before leaving us at the end of Year 6 exceptionally well prepared for the challenges of secondary school. We are extremely proud of all our children, and are determined to support every child in exceeding their potential, both academically and as a whole person.

Starting Reception and Nursery September 2020 Report

We know that starting school can be an exciting time for children and parents, but also can be a time of anxiety and apprehension. Keep checking back as we will continue to add further details each time there is an update and we have more information about our transition arrangements in September. We will also post top tips for parents and games or activities for the children in preparation for this big step!.

Artsmark Report

As a school we believe that the creative arts are a very important part of our pupil's education. Although much of today's curriculum is focussed on standards in literacy and numeracy, we know that developing the whole child is also crucial. So by delivering high quality arts experiences we provide our children with a broad and balanced curriculum.

Liverpool Counts- Quality Maths Mark Report

Here at Carr Mill Primary School, we are excited to announce that we are taking part in a project to promote mathematics across St. Helens and Liverpool. The quality mark has been developed by Liverpool Learning Partnership and School Improvement Liverpool to promote positive attitudes to mathematics and numeracy as an essential life skill.
