Live within walking distance and decided to try.for Friday Lunch. Have a nice newly renovated outside patio with heat and covering. Had a couple of starters and a cod and prawn mornay all of which were excluded. The dessert of apple and fruit crumble was enough for 3. Very nice host. Recommemd if you like seafood.

What a fabulous meal. Haven’t been for a few years (something must have happen globally?!)
Layout is brilliant. Superb bar with many craft beers.
Menu is everything from burger to the finest fish in the land.
And every member of staff is not only charming, but superb at their job.
Thank you all for a brilliant time.

I chose here for my sister's 30th birthday celebration and we weren't disappointed! Probably the best customer service I've had in this country for quite a while, all the staff were so friendly and helpful! Moving onto the food, we went for the plaice, john dory and seafood platter with extra cockels. All were very tasty. The only slight criticism with the fruit de mer was that it was a bit too cold such that the flavours weren't as amazing as they could've been. Would 100% return and this time stay for desert!

Always loved Sankey's for their bar & pub. However, I tried their restaurant & food for the first time and sadly I was disappointed. Although food came out quick, it was sub-par, with briskets overcooked, poorly flavoured mac & cheeses, dry fish cakes, just generally not the standard that I always perceived of Sankey's from their prices and service. Food just didn't hit the mark, not sure if it was because we were a group of 7 that they struggled with timings etc of our food but it just wasn't of a good standard, with some dishes cold, and some dishes portions tiny (stout cake was a sliver of a

I moved to T-Wells a couple of years ago and Sankeys has been my favourite bar. It has a good range of drinks and also has interesting memorabilia on the walls. However, I went last week and after waiting for half an hour at the bar for service (the bar staff had clearly not clocked who had been waiting in order), when I asked if I could be served (politely) I was told to be patient by the bar staff. A group of men then walked into the bar and were immediately served. I commented on this to my friend who said that they were in fact the 'Sankeys'. This shows how much respect they have

Lovely pub in a good location.
The wine list is great and there are a good selection of beers and ales. There is plenty of seats, lots of comfy ones and there are always a selection of papers. The atmosphere makes it very easy to sit for a long time!
The food is nice and they specialise in seafood, the muscles are very enjoyable.
During winter the real fire is on and it makes it so warm and cosy. The prices of drinks are average for a pub in Tunbridge Wells.
There is not a car park and parking can be difficult in the area but it should be easy enough if you are happy to walk a little

A good place to grab a drink in Tunbridge Wells.
The bar serves a good selection of beers and there's a nice atmosphere inside.
Occasionally a band (in the past usually a dire covers act, but I may've just chosen duff nights) will grace the front of the pub.
There's a fish restaurant downstairs, my only experience of which was the paella which was a little stingy on the fish portions compared to it's continental cousins but a tasty effort nonetheless.
There's a nice rear patio in which to relax in the summer. Overall this is definitely one of the better places

We came here by recommendation of several friends. I didn't realise that the restaurant was downstairs so we went into the pub upstairs first. It was so run down and grotty looking that we almost ran out. This place is supposed to be one of the finest fish restaurants around so we decided to go ahead and order anyway. On going to the bar to order we were told that we could also use the restaurant downstairs. The restaurant is beautifully done up and oozes atmosphere. The fish soup was to die for and well worth trying. We can't wait to go back and try some more delights. We had fantastic
