Went for a meal of 16 of us last night. Good food but they hid the service charge under the edge of menu so couldn't see that! Then bought out £27 worth of poppadoms and expected us to pay for them! Something wasn't right with the bill as we all added up and it still didn't match. Won't be going again.

After hearing good things about the place, we went new years eve, unfortunately we wont be going again, although the food we couldn't fault, really nice. The service was shocking, not once did anyone come to our table to take any orders without being asked 2/3'times, and when they were taken a couple of times they were forgotten and we was left waiting, the main dishes arrived and the waiter just put the food on the table, without clearing the starters and we was told to pass the dishes along the table . To top it off when the bill arrived, prices had been increased which were different from the

Won’t be going back- The Bill was played with!! Be careful in a big group! £17 for 10 ’poppadoms and one tray of condiments !!!!!!
Yes it was New Years Eve but we spent the whole evening asking, there was no pro-active service.
Drinks were forgotten many times lost count, dishes missing and one waiter was quite rude when serving.
Food couldn’t fault and some polite waiters there but service very poor!
Also exceptionally pricey we were shocked when the bill came…things had been added and increased!
Won’t be going back can’t trust the pricing!

The best British Indian restaurant in Kent. Still, not being biased of course, Birmingham holds the accolade of best British Indian restaurant on God’s green earth;)
Like with many British Indian restaurants, service is respectful and humble. At Turmeric Gold the level of service is higher than normal . Delivery of food is faster, attention to detail is higher, assistance is higher quality.
The restaurant is large, set up to cater for well over 100 people. The decor is mixed, most of the space has the Indian restaurant white cotton feel. Some of the interior is definitely new in direction,

Great service. For instance, when approaching the table, the waiter announced himself by saying "Sorry to interrupt". Polite, much better than simply talking over the guest conversation, as is all too common these days. And attentive. As soon as a waiter spotted me holding a card to pay the bill, he immediately went to fetch a portable card payment terminal.
The food was very good, made from fresh ingredients, and of course, they have a great clay oven.
