Services
After 2015, we have made it to Kent live again. It gives me great pleasure to see the people of Tunbridge Wells supporting us. This year was fantastic year for us, currently in 53rd place. Our new dishes such as AKBARI, BADANI, KING PRAWN LAHORI AND RAJ OLIVE CHICKEN is getting more popular day by day.
Lightly spiced prawns with ginger and spring onions, finished with tomato and fresh coriander. Potato and sweetcorn fritters seasoned with cumin and fresh dill - a bengali street-food favourite. Succulent pieces of chicken breast cooked in a rich, sweet, creamy tomato sauce - hugely popular. Chicken or lamb in a fiery sauce made with onions, tomatoes and green peppers, cooked in the tandoori oven.

Usually excellent, but they recently gave the driver the wrong receipt for somewhere on the other side of town. When I rang the restaurant, they said they would make me a fresh meal, but the driver turned up 10 minutes later with the cold meal. I rang the shop again, and was told they would give me a full refund. When this didn't arrive, I twice messaged them via their website but they just ignored my messages. Very poor customer service, and I won't be ordering from there again until they sort this out.

We have been coming to the raj for a few years now, we have 2 indian restaurant where we live but the food is not even close, can honestly say we have never had a bad meal or take away. The chicken is so well cooked and juicy unlike most Indians where it is so dry. The portions are excellent and the service is second to none, we go on Tuesdays where the do a deal of starter, main, poppadoms ,rice or nan bread and baileys £12.95 and such a good deal. Would highly recommend

As the chairman of our company 'Curry Club' we booked in as none of us had previously been (!) and wanted an 'unknown' venue to try for our inaugural night out.
The service was very accommodating given the strange rituals we were performing (checking the colour of the obligatory Tikka Masala using a pantone reference chart, testing the poppadums by dropping a pound coin through them etc). The presence of the club secretary taking minutes throughout and the number of photos we took were all taken in their stride.
Reasonably priced good ambience and easily earning 4 out of 5

WENT AGAIN RECENTLY & HAD A POOR MEAL TUESDAY NIGHT, CONSEQUENTLY, I'M DOCKING A STAR!' ANYWAY..... HERE'S THE ORIGINAL REVIEW. An especially wet Saturday night called for a curry in town and gave an ideal opportunity to test out The Raj Pavilion. TW's worst Qyper legrandflaneur was due to be in attendance but cried off because he 'didn't feel awake enough' and so we soldiered on accordingly and were well rewarded for our staying (out) power. The Raj occupies that happy place between the Gastro-type Indian joints with their poncey nouveau cuisine menus and

Quite a decent curry house, appealing to a slightly more upmarket clientale as they have a menu including curries that aren't just the run of the mill classics ( though some are there). It can be a bit hit and miss, but usually enjoy a decent meal here, and often go with the family.
The restaurant itself is a little bit dark, but there is extra room downstairs and the staff are normally very helpful. At the end of a meal, they usually give a free whiskey or Dooleys to all the adults, which is a nice thought!
