West End Tavern
The West End Tavern is a Pub and Restaurant set in a very picturesque area within the "Garden of England", Kent. We are situated on the Goudhurst road at the west end of Marden village located only a short drive from Maidstone, Tonbridge, and Tunbridge Wells. Originally built in the 18th century, the West End Tavern Pub and Restaurant is located on the site of the Old Forge in Marden, where ale has been sold since the 1800s.

The West End Tavern quickly became the most popular "beer house" among the local Kent Hop Pickers in the 1940s to 1950s. The West End Tavern Pub and Restaurant is a Grade 2 listed building with original beams and fixtures, but has been extended allowing it to thrive as a country pub and restaurant.

Enjoyed an excellent breakfast this morning with the family. Washed down a bottle of prosecco and glasses of orange. Great to be able to enjoy hospitality like this again.

Had a lovely meal in the pub's garden (the garden was calm, cool and relaxing). The Owners were lovely, friendly and welcoming. The food was great too. Lucky Marden people 🤗🥂😊

The couple that run the West End Tavern are so so lovely. They recommended a local IPA that was delicious and they kindly dropped us off at our camp site. Would totally recommend this gem!

We were staying at a local cottage for a few nights with a group of friends nearby and we decided to walk to the nearest shop which was about 50mins walk. We later realised we needed to get back but there were no Uber available. The cab service would be a 30min wait and we were desperate to use the loo. We came across the West End Tavern where we explained our situation and the Land lady, Bridget kindly offered the 4 of us a ride back. She was so friendly and lovely and. Thank you si much for your help. It was so lovely meeting such a nice person.

Nice pub with a good relaxed environment. Food was nice and served promptly. Low ceilings are always something a little unnerving to me after a couple but I'm sure the rustic charm is liked by many.
