We host a number of popular regular events including quizzes and open mic evenings and we welcome you to join in these enjoyable, friendly occasions. Special events will also be advertised here so please come back regularly to discover what's on offer. We regularly have live music entertainment on Saturday evenings, please check below for details of performers.

Guest Rooms Report

We have two beautiful, cozy rooms both with en suite facilities, power showers, tea & coffee making facilities, Wifi, smart TVs and soft fluffy towels. 100 per room per night included is the choice of a full English Breakfast or Continental Breakfast, Scrambled or poached egg on toast or Toasts with jam & Marmalade.

We went for lunch today, never having been there before. We were warmly welcomed, excellent menu and service, especially by Sue. The food lived up to expectations and we will be returning soon.

I had an amazing home made chicken, leek and bacon pie in the Rose and Crown yesterday. We sat on front of the open fire with a pint of cider and a pint of Lakedown real ale. Very friendly staff and a perfect place to stop after a winter walk.

Just moved to the area and this place was recommended to us. Ordered the steak burger and my partner had fish and chips. The food was great and the staff were lovely and friendly. Definitely give this place a try 😊

It was a great pitstop for us as we drove to the coast. Really friendly and prompt service. My chicken burger was great. It was easy to get parking and a bench in the sun. Great little spot.

Old building on edge of village. Small car park. Rooms with wonky floors and low beams, full of character. Friendly staff and good, fresh cooked breakfast. Due to staff shortages they weren’t doing food on Wednesdays and Thursdays so we had to go elsewhere. Check before booking.

Absolutely delicious! Saw your advert tonight for the Cajun chicken burger and it was just as delicious as it looked 🤩 My parents enjoyed the scampi and fish and chips as well! Highly recommend and it arrived promptly with safety covid measures in place! We will definitely be ordering again and visiting when you reopen. Thank you 🤩
