Food was lovely however ordered a starter of garlic bread and it was the size of a dinner plate, far too big for a starter

This is a little gem of a place, very clean & tidy. The atmosphere & decor is great. I bought a deal from Groupon for a two course meal for two. We were shown to an intimate table for two at the back. The house red wine was very nice, smooth & rich. I had the bruschetta Classica to start & the tomatoes were very fresh & tasty. My husband had the prawns but there was a bit too much chilli for his taste buds. The cabonara was the best I have ever tasted, it was so rich & creamy & the pasta was cooked to perfection. My husband had the steak for his main & you could cut through it like butter, it was

We are so lucky to have stumbled upon this fabulous restaurant whilst travelling back from Southend. The food is absolutely stunning - fresh, flavourful, authentic - just fantastic. The staff were so friendly, happy and helpful. Prices were very reasonable. Can heartily recommend the mozzarella avocado tomato salad starter (insalata tricolore), and the prawn linguine as a main course. Both cooked perfectly. It's a traditional authentic Italian restaurant with food to match the best I've tasted in Italy itself.

A last minute booking and sadly a disappointing one. My partner ordered the seafood platter and at £26, it was literally a plate of oily deep fried seafood. Bitterly disappointed. Then had to get the kids meals reduced from the bill as they'd been charged at full adult price despite being half portions (aged 7 and 4). Unfortunately we won't be visiting again. Such a shame. Had very much a cafe feel to it rather than restaurant.

From outside I was slightly dubious, it wasn't quite what I expected. How wrong can you be? Welcoming, attentive service, great menu with all the favourites at reasonable price, good wine list.
But the food..... best bruschetta I've had in a long while, followed by perfect lasagna. (I'm not very adventurous) my husband was most impressed with his Gamberroni and commented his Lobster Ravioli was delicious and plentiful.
All in all the whole experience deserves 5 out of 5. Thank you , we will be back.

A little piece of Italy 🇮🇹 in leigh on sea!! This place is absolutely beautiful. The food is outstanding. You know its going to be good when it's completely packed out on a Tuesday night. Staff are really helpful, although service is a little slow. However, if you are happy to sit back and soak up the atmosphere with friends and family over a very reasonably priced bottle or 3 of wine then it's the perfect place to be!!! We will be back ❤

On the outside it looks quite unassuming. You step inside and it's a traditional little Italian restaurant. We had a range of starters and mains. I'm not one for giving 5 star reviews (yes I am hard to please) but La Piazzetta fully deserves it. Friendly staff, high quality ingredients and generous portions. We went here whilst on holiday. If we lived closer it would become a regular for us.

Such a beautiful restaurant which 'brings you a slice of Italy'. The atmosphere transported me. From the moment I walked in it felt like I was walking the streets of Italy. The music is wonderful, easy to listen to and captures the joyful culture. The staff are friendly; We were greeted with a warm, welcoming smile and fantastic service. My partner and I shared a pizza: it had a crispy base and gorgeous stringy cheese. I truly believe this is one of the best pizzas in the area. The owner makes them. The complimentary olives were wonderful. I would highly recommend this hidden gem over large chain
