Josie and Horia have looked after The Ship for five years and are loving every minute. The pub had a full refurb when reopening and still we are adding bits and bobs to keep everything fresh. Come and enjoy and evening out with Real ale, Fine wines and delicious homecooked food. We look forward to welcoming you for a drink or a bite to eat.
Services
This beautiful 16th century village pub is located in the heart of Bishops Sutton surrounded by friendly locals and historic attractions. Hoping to keep the old traditional feel, the refurbishment reused as many of the original materials and artifacts as possible, and adding a few fantastic finds to really give you that warm welcome.
All our food is freshly prepared, during busy times your food may take a little longer to arrive and may change at any time. Australia - A Light straw in colour, displays an enticing nose of peach, citrus and lemon aromas. Deliciously rounded wine with a crisp and clean finish balanced nicely by gentle acidity.

Ate at the Ship Inn as a group of five on a Tuesday night. It was a throughly enjoyable experience, the staff were warm and welcoming and the food was good hearty pub grub, of a really nice quality. Table was booked for 19:30 and even though they were due to close at 21:00 they stayed open a little later to allow us to have deserts. Would throughly recommend.

What a lovely, cosy and traditional pub. Excellent food, freshly cooked, and good quality ingredients. Ambient and comfortable interiors, clean pub, friendly staff, nice toilets! Nicely decorated inside, not trying to be too fancy, just naturally a nice place to relax with tasty food. Glad it's local to me, I will be back!

We visited a couple of weeks ago, were literally driving past & thought we’d give it a go. Food was amazing & the service was unlike any that I’ve experienced before in the UK. My niece became unwell shortly after arrival, Horia (I assume) couldn’t do enough to help & even packaged her food to takeaway. So pleased we found this little gem, will definitely be returning!

Attended with my in laws and 3 year old for a late lunch. Pleasant food. Ate in the garden so cant comment on atmosphere
Staff friendly and welcoming.
Only criticism would be the chips were overly salted for me and there was only 1 childs option for food. Still happy to give 5 stars as was very nice good for a pub lunch in the garden.
