Sliced beef and aubergine stir fried with mixed peppers in a hot peanut, chilli and garlic sauce.

What a gem! We went on a Tuesday and it was very busy, we managed to get a table up stairs which is such a cute rustic environment. The venue is very clean, the staff very friendly and the food does not dissapoint and the prices are very fair. Will be visiting again next time I am in town.

The word on the street is that this is the place to go to so I thought I would take my wife and give it a whirl.
Unfortunately, the food was below the standard expected and I did not have success with regards to having a nice meal. It was way over price too.
I gave 3 stars because of the service. The waiters were extremely professional and friendly. It's a shame that the food was a waste of my money.

Words can't describe how delicious the food here is. We were just overnight visiting the town and stopped in here for dinner, but I would consider moving to Colchester just so I could eat here every week and work my way through the menu! It's that good. Honestly, some of the tastiest food I've ever eaten. Top marks.

Service was impeccable, the staff were super kind and attentive. They answered our questions and gave suggestions on what to order.

I have lost track of the number of times I have eaten here and I've never had a bad meal. I think you could give me anything off the menu and I would enjoy it. Fantastic food and service. Good portion sizes too. My kids are 9 & 11 and have eaten here a few times and they love it. Try the specials - they are always very tasty! My mouth is watering as I type just thinking about the food!!!

Amazing food. Lovely venue. Highly recommended. Higher end in terms of price, but well worth the money. Everything is delicious, freshly cooked and very filling. We love it! It is a very old, tiny building - tastefully decorated, modern, clean and very cosy and intimate inside. It has steep, narrow steps and passages which could be tricky for people with mobility issues... check access with them when you book.
The menu is fab with a great selection of dishes - thankfully, it doesn't cater for 'boring brit eaters' - you won't get chips or an omlette here!!
