Yak & Yeti, Colchester

Don't go here in large groups the staff simply can't handle it. 2 hour wait for food and loads of stuff missing which was paid for and half the evening no drinks on table. Food is nice though just stick to small groups or takeaway

I order my takeaway from these guys on a weekly basis and never since I moved to Colchester and cannot find any fault in the quality and freshness of the food I receive. Good portion too and always satisfied with my orders.

Went there last night (colchester) for the first time and it did not disappoint.
The staff were amazing, food was bang on, very reasonably priced and was so pleased with overall service.

Food was nice service was okay a bit slow on the drinks i would give it another go hopefully the service will be better

We have ordered twice in the last 4 weeks from here. The food here is something else, roasting hot food with immense flavours, it felt like a birthday meal both times. hands down some of the best food I've eaten anywhere in the world.
I would 100% recommend Yak and Yeti anybody and will of course be ordering with them again and again.

Absolutely Brilliant! The service was perfect. Waiters were very polite and there was great attention to detail. I struggle to eat am Indian as I can't have dairy so being able to have a Chicken Korma was no cream was amazing. The food was beautiful. Best Korma that I have even eaten. The pilau rice and peshwari naan were both vegan too and tasted incredible. Portions were huge so definitely worth the money. Could not eat it all so they offered to pack it up for us so we could take it home.
This place definitely deserves more customers as they were very quiet. 100% recommend. There vegan menu

Service was fine.. very quiet when we visited. Recommended to owner to advertise clearly if meat and chicken is halal which would have enticed more pool of halal eating customers. Overall the portion size of dishes was good and we didn't have to wait long for our food from starter to main course.

Ordered online, waited and waited. No food, no phone pick up. Discovered after some research that they are closed on Mondays - the day we placed our order. However we were able to place our order online and… received a confirmation email.
We're hungry, it's late.
Very poor that they leave their booking system open for orders while closed!

Nice food, not very spicy and with plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. The banana lassi was very good too.

I love this place! Their food was amazing, we tried so many different things. And the bread choices were phenomenal. Now I see why everyone raves about this place!

The Yak and Yeti Restaurant is an exceptional place, with unique dishes and a variety which never gets old, the atmosphere is great as well as the staff. I recommend anyone who has not been to the Yak and Yeti… in Colchester or lives in the Colchester area to try it out you won't be disappointed. I'll certainly be coming down from London.

Ordered takeaway here for the first time this evening. Came promptly and the presentation was excellent. Portions were generous and the staff were helpful on the phone. Everything was labelled with stickers which made dishing up quicker and easier. I’m no expert on this type of cuisine but to my wife and I the food was very tasty. Only problem is I ate everything and then felt much too full!
