We are a small, family run hotel in Polzeath, offering fantastic and exceedingly reasonable priced accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis. Guests are free to come and go as they please. If however it is your intention to stay out until the early hours of the morning partying, then we are not the place for you.
Our licensed dining room is available during your stay if you prefer to eat in. Guests have the added advantage of being able to purchase alcohol any time of the day or evening without the requirement of a meal. We offer scrumptious homemade meals at very equitable prices. Finally, we don't accept pets, no, not even the well behaved ones.

We are very proud of all our bedrooms. Every year we make sure they are up to the highest standard. And that's true for this years improvements where we have now installed dedicated wall USB charging ports for your mobile devices! All our beds utilise 1000 pocket spring double mattresses (like the ones they use at Premier Inn!) for a good comfortable night's sleep.

I really enjoyed my stay. The son of the family was very friendly, with jokes on a morning breakfast. Always asking me if I need anything. They are really trying hard to make you leave as a happy costomer. Breakfast served from 9:30-10 if I remember correctly.
Toast bread quality needs improving. It's fresh and maybe it's me being a tourist from abroad, but the toast was something cheap from the local store. A baker quality would be nice. Otherwise I always saw fresh goods being brought in. Fresh milk, fish, a shame really I didn't have an evening meal there.
The room was very clean, not a spot

We were visiting Cornwall for a long weekend and stopped here for dinner after a long drive from London. We had the calamari, sea bass and the kangaroo steak (!), all of which were fresh, delicious - absolutely fantastic. Oh, and try the apple and strawberry crumble :-) Service was top notch, very friendly. Would highly recommend!

My Mum (aged 80), myself and my daughter (aged 7) visited on our last day for an evening meal and the service and quality of food was a really high standard. The building is immaculate and very well maintained and the family that own the White Heron were really helpful and sociable. A great setting, catering for all ages. My only regret is that we didn't come across it sooner but will be back next year!!! Thank you so much.
