The Foundation Stage Team extends a very warm welcome to you and your child as they start school. We are very much looking forward to working in partnership with you. This year is very exciting for our youngest children because the Department for Education has reformed the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum(EYFS) and our school has chosen to be an 'early adopter' school.
We have really missed you and are delighted that we are back together again at Trent. We hope you had a restful summer break and your children are ready for a busy year ahead. Year 1 is a fantastic time; it is full of hard work and good fun. Our priority for the Autumn Term is to ensure Year 1 are happy and feel settled after a period of time away from school.

Teachers made me very uncomfortable in years 3 and 5. I felt they told us off too much, like once i did the peace sign the wrong way round and they told me off so much i cried when i got home. Also, i had to go to the head teachers office for the day because i said p*ss. Its not even that bad and looking back i was probably overeating but its worth noting if you send your child to this school. All that being said, it was a great school for learning and the teachers were very good at teaching, unlike other schools. But it was very fun when we had easy going teachers, and on school trips.
