Cricklade Manor Prep School
Cricklade Manor Prep is a successful, happy and high-achieving nursery and prep school in the pretty Saxon town of Cricklade, within easy reach of Swindon and Cirencester and the surrounding villages. With outstanding facilities and brilliant outcomes for our pupils, Cricklade Manor Prep is proof that high-quality private education needn't cost the earth.

The children had a great art and music themed Holiday Club session this week with Mrs Brookes and Mrs Kinder, all inspired by the theme 'our rivers'. They looked at how environmental charities have supported the development of fish passes along the river severn, to help the natural migration and breeding of fish in the.

Cricklade Manor Prep is a successful, happy and high-achieving nursery and prep school in the pretty Saxon town of Cricklade in Wiltshire. Within easy reach of Swindon, Cirencester and the surrounding Wiltshire and Gloucestershire villages, and with school bus routes serving the surrounding area, we are more accessible than you may think.
We hold a whole-school Open Day each term. It is a great opportunity to get a first impression of life and learning at Cricklade Manor Prep. However, if you cannot make that day, we would always be happy to show you around our wonderful school on a personal tour. After visiting an Open Day, we strongly recommend that you return on a normal school day for a Personal Visit.
The School Registrar, Mrs Penny Kelly, will be in contact to assist further with your enquiry. This will be an opportunity for you to meet the Headmaster, Mr Guy Barrett, followed by a personal tour of the school. Subject to a satisfactory assessment period and submission of a current school report, an offer a place will be made.
The Pre-Prep department includes Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. It is a key time in a child's education, because it lays the foundations for all the learning to come. In these vital years, it is not only what but how a child learns that will have a huge impact on their future education.

In the right environment, they will form positive, attitudes to learning, understanding the difference between 'I can't do it' and 'I can't do it yet', building routes to confidence. They will learn to try, fail, dust themselves off and try again, equipping themselves for a lifetime of challenges.
Building on the firm foundations of the Pre-Prep department, children moving into Year 3 have developed the skills they need to be pro-active learners, with the confidence to ask for help when they need it, and the desire to take on new challenges. Learning becomes more structured, and pupils steadily build skills and techniques to assist in problem solving.

Attended Irish Christian Brothers Prior Park Prep from 1974 to 1978, and loved every single day of my life here as a boarder. My parents worked and lived in Munich.
Our school had fellow boarders from UK, Malaysia, Botswana, Zambia, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Hong Kong to name a few.
Mr Kaffola taught music, Mrs Davies taught English and Drama, Brothers Madigan, Dolan, Early, Smythe taught various subjects.

I’ve had experience of many private schools in my working life but none quite so fantastic as CMP. Both my sons attend, both with very different needs & yet, all their needs are met. The school is a warm, friendly environment focussing on every aspect of a child’s development, something schools often forget. The activities available are great, Lego… club is the current favourite!! Food here is exceptional with such a wide range of options that cater for my boys who have allergies. I can’t recommend this school any higher, we are so lucky to have this nearby. Thank you

My son has thrived at this school and gone from strength to strength. I couldn’t have wished for a better school for him. The staff are thoughtful and caring and fully supportive of the students and families of the students. The staff are engaged and committed throughout the entire school. They take the time to know each child and nurture them… intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally and engage them in hands on and intentional learning experiences. My son has made leaps and bounds at Cricklade Manor prep academically and socially. I couldn’t recommend this school highly

They have a real love of learning and come out of school so happy every day! They are really well-rounded, enjoying every aspect, and there are so many opportunities to take interests to the next level!

A remarkable school with wonderful pupils - I have not only read my stories at Prior Park prep but I also brought my creative workshop to their classes and we had such a good time. The children were so inspiring to be around and learned a huge amount for such a short time. I look forward to returning with my new book. .

My little boy started this term and is absolutely loving it! The co-curricular programme is excellent - there really is something for everyone - whether your child is sporty, academic or creative. He played his first rugby match a few weekends ago which was a formative experience for him - and made him feel about 10 feet tall! The small class… sizes are great and the access to specialist teaching is fantastic. My son has now joined the junior choir...something that I would never have envisaged him doing. I am so looking forward to seeing how he develops over the next 12 months.

Dear Mr. King We are writing to express our extreme frustration with Prior Park Preparatory School. At the beginning of the Easter break, Mr Pearce approached us enquiring if we would be willing to take our house, which was for sale, off the market and let it to the school. We gave this much consideration and decided that it would be a good idea as… the school has, as we believed, a good reputation. Mr Pearce and his wife viewed the property and three weeks later viewed the property again. We handed over the property to M Lettings to deal with the letting agreement as we wanted it all handled
