On behalf of the staff, pupils, parents/carers and governors, I would like to welcome you to our website at Werrington Primary School. Werrington prides itself on providing a happy, safe, secure and supportive learning environment. At the centre of our ethos is the belief that our children should enjoy their school experience while achieving their full potential.
We believe this is achieved through a close and trusting relationship between home and school, both working together to promote the vision, aims and ethos of the school. We seek to operate an "open door" policy, which means that we welcome children and adults alike to share concerns and worries. Class teachers and senior leaders will always be happy to arrange an appointment to discuss any questions and will do everything we can to help.

Services
Our school actively promote the fundamental values of: Democracy, The Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, Mutual Respect and Tolerance. Democracy is active within the school. Pupils have the opportunity to have their voices heard through our School Council and Pupil questionnaires. The elections for the School Council members and House Team Leaders are based solely on pupil votes.
Our vision is to ensure that our children become successful learners who enjoy their learning, are challenged in their thinking, make good progress and excel in an environment where everyone is valued and respected. Please contact the school office if you require paper copies of any information on our website.
All pupils are required to attend school appropriately dressed and for the assistance of parents our school has adopted guidelines on dress. We believe that a smart and distinctive school uniform helps to instil a pride and sense of loyalty to the school. In the long run it is both practical and economical.
Doors open at 8:45 and registers should be marked at 9:00 and 1.00. Registration is completed on 'Sims' and a record of those not in is returned to the office by the class register monitor. Mental Health and Wellbeing - Working with our wider school community to ensure that everyone feels safe, knows how to stay both physically and mentally well and where all members of the community play an integral role in the life of the school.
At Werrington Primary School we will ensure that at every level, in all our work and throughout all aspects of the school community and its life, all will be treated equally. The new General Duty replaces the three existing public sector equality duties for disability, race and gender.
