My friend and I had quite a disappointing meal here last night. When entering the restaurant there was an extremely unwelcoming feeling coming from the staff, they just seemed very standoffish and arrogant. We were seated quite early, and the restaurant was practically empty, but there was absolutely no attention paid to our table with 4-5 staff members working. An example of this is that our water was not filled regularly like other tables were. This is what is expected in a restaurant of this supposed quality. The food was also disappointing. On a positive note, the oysters were very good and

This is a proper menu, and outstanding we’ll delivered for your ‘City’ lunch. As one looks around the room, it’s dominated by the insurance market and the old school tie wearers. Excellent wine list. I give it 5*, but I would love the smell of the bathrooms to go…. Difficult when it used to be a ‘Balls Brothers’ in the late 1990s, it’s probably soaked into the woodwork.

I chose Cabotte to celebrate my birthday with a friend. A truly fantastic choice. The food was out of this world - high class French Cuisine, the wine list is beyond extensive. And the staff…..Just the right amount of attentiveness, super friendly and very knowledgable. It was a first class experience. Will be back!

Overall good diner but main dish failed to satisfy
The oysters and cold cuts as starters were fresh and tasty. I really recommend taking the oysters, the price/quality ratio is great.
For the main dish we took the classic French steak with eggplant on the side. The quality of the meat and the persile sauce were just not at the level we expected them to be. The eggplant was good but nothing extraordinary.
The dessert made things better. We went for the tarte tatin to share. Very well prepared and delicious.
The decoration is great, half fancy half modern and the service was satisfactory as well

Having been set up by two master sommeliers I was expecting a restaurant with alright food but decent wine. I was wrong! The food at Cabotte is as outstanding as the wine - and the attentive friendly staff make navigating a huge wine list easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended as a place for that special occasion

Found Cabotte off of Kings Street in downtown London.
I love the simple elegance in their presentation of spectacular Country French food. The pairings of food, wine, & cheese were terrific and the deserts are spot on.
The braised cod with sides of yogurt and aubergine and a country curry sauce was terrific. Each item brought a different flavor and they all worked together.
Tonight I ordered the Beef Cheek Bourguignon and it was incredible.
Best description of everything is the food is elegant, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the wine list is Devine.

Service is good and friendly but small portion, non-surprising taste, expensive for its size and taste. Dish layout is beautiful but taste could be improved. My friends ordered steak and it was over cooked. Another friend’s Sea bream risotto was too salty. I was probably lucky as I felt my seabass wasn’t bad.

One word - amazing! If I could give 6 stars - I most certainly would. This was Michelin quality experience of French cuisine! From starter through main course and into desert - every single bite was delightful, full of taste and perfectly executed! My biggest compliments to the chef. Thank you for such wonderful and inspirational food. My wild black bream served with lobster bisque was out of this world!. My husband immensly enjoyed his pheasant. And both of our deserts were to die for. We had Lemon and Orange cake and a Financier (which is an almond kind of sponge) with pears and goosberries.
