Since gaining a BEd. in primary teaching from the University of Reading, I have had the opportunity to work in a wide range of schools from small schools to large inner-city primary schools. Early in my career, I was fortunate to be part of the Department for Educations Fast Track teachers scheme for future leaders; this developed my passion for school leadership and helped me gain skills such as coaching and becoming an NLP practitioner.
Over the last few years, it has been a privilege to lead the school on its exciting journey. I am passionate about developing a school where every child has the opportunity to experience rich learning, excellent teaching and strong personal development. I love Basildon so much that as a family we relocated to the area and my two children, Isla and Fraser now attend the school.

Services
The teaching of history at Basildon C.E. Primary, is designed to aid teachers to help students form a history schema within their long-term memories. Rather than memorising isolated facts, through building a strong historical schema, students are able to organise knowledge in a meaningful way. Milestones- the goals that students should reach to show they are meeting the expectations of the curriculum.
