College Grove Nursery is a substantial, mature property, which has been carefully converted to provide its present accommodation. It sits within spacious grounds incorporating gardens, lawns and an all weather play area. Situated close to the M1 and M62 motorway network it is also convenient for Wakefield city centre, schools and major places of employment.
College Grove Nursery is one of the longest established nurseries in Wakefield having been open since 1994. The current owner and manager Marie Harrison, took over the thriving business in 2006 and has continued to grow and build the nursery.

Services
My background is both medical and educational. I initially qualified as a radiographer in 1985 and worked in the profession until 1998, following the birth of my first two children. At this point I undertook a PGCE and qualified as a teacher in 2001, working in a local primary school in their nursery unit for a couple of years.
It is our aim to give each unique child the opportunities to interact in positive relationships and enabling environments. Within the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum our highly qualified and motivated staff provide a variety of activities and learning experiences covering the 3 prime and 4 specific areas of learning.
At College Grove Nursery we take healthy eating seriously and therefore we employ our own qualified and highly experienced Catering Manager. Karen has overall responsibility for the provision of all meals and snacks and has been part of the team since 1995. During this time she has encouraged children to eat a healthy, balanced diet.
