A small, friendly, caring, family run campsite, situated on a working farm half a mile from Robin Hood's Bay on the B1447 (Whitby to Robin Hood's Bay road) within walking distance of the local pubs and shops. It is approximately 5 miles from Whitby and 20 miles from Scarborough. Our aim is to provide a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for everyone camping within a farming community.
Robin Hood's Bay has a number of pubs/restaurants all within 5-15 minutes walk from Hooks House Farm, with plenty more excellent eating places within the wide area (surrounding villages/Whitby). The nearest banks with cash machines are in Whitby town centre, plus cash machines at petrol stations on the outskirts of Whitby.
Follow the A171 to Hawsker. Take the right turning sign-posted 'Robin Hood's Bay'. Follow the B1447 towards Robin Hood's Bay. You'll pass an old church at the Fylingthorpe turning, Hooks House Farm is about half a mile further, on the right hand side. Follow the A171 out of Whitby towards Scarborough.

Beautiful grounds, very tidy and well maintained, stunning views of the valleys and the sea.
I found the place by accident, without a capercaillie or tent, on my way to Robin Hood's Bay. Walked in there, strolled a bit, took a few photos and got out, perhaps the owner was nice enough for me to let me admire the landscape from their grounds.

Beautiful campsite with beautiful views and a short stroll to Robin Hood Bay - clean facilities including washroom, showers, toilets and a room for washing pots and cutlery (also containing a kettle, mobile phone charge points, a microwave, and freezers for icepacks). Very friendly owners/staff - would certainly come back here in the future.

What a great little campsite!
On arrival we was greeted by a member of the campsite team who offered to park the caravan on its pitch. He then helped me level up the van bring large wooden blocks to get the front end up high, as the site is on a hill. The toilets and showers are clean and well maintained.
Robin hoods bay is a 15 minute walk from the site.
One of the best bits of the campsite is a totally FANTASTIC view over the bay. We have spent 5 nights here and will definitely be back. Thanks for having us!

Amazing, we visit this site once or twice a year. The location and views are just spectacular. The family that run the site go beyond the call of duty to make sure their guests are happy. The facilities are always clean and very well maintained. Great local walks & pubs or just sit and admire the view. Keep up the great work Jill, Joanne & Paul, we can't wait for our return visit.

We have just spent a long weekend at this campsite and wow what a fantastic place. Lovely welcome. Plenty of space around the tent pitch. Enough facilities for all that were lovely and clean. Easy to find and given map of site and useful list of contact numbers on arrival. Waking up to that view was fantastic even when it was raining. Will definitely be back next summer.

It is beautifully maintained and facilities are spotless !
The owners are wonderful...they are always on hand to help and nothing is too much trouble ! I cannot recommend this site highly enough......Superb in every detail !

We try and make it here at least twice a year. Have been using the site for 6 years now. By far it has the best views of any campsite we have ever stayed at. When the facilities are available for use they are perfect. A lovely walk into Robin Hoods bay down the fields. Looking forward to our return again this year....and hopefully many more years to come.
