I hope that you will enjoy looking through our website and that it will give you an insight into the life of our school community. At St. Alban's we strive to create a spiritual environment which is friendly, warm, caring and welcoming. CEOP helps children stay safe online. Has someone acted inappropriately towards you online, or to a child or young person you know?
It may be sexual chat, being asked to do something that makes you feel uncomfortable or someone being insistent on meeting up.

Services
Leading the children to a deeper knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith and fostering the growth of faith in every member of the school community. Encouraging, with the support of the parish community, parents in fulfilling their responsibilities towards the religious development of their children especially in regard to the weekly celebration of Mass.
The promotion of 'British values' is central to Catholic education because British values have their origin in the Christian values of our nation. At St. Alban's, we recognise not only the importance of helping our pupils live life to the full academically but also spiritually, morally, socially and culturally.
Achievement is constantly celebrated at St. Alban's and we have many ways of doing this. We have a house system made up of 7 houses which are named after local Saints. Children have their name displayed on a house board in their classroom and are given merits towards their houses for good behaviour, work or attitude.
Our Admissions policy has been formally adopted by the Governing Body of St Alban's Catholic primary School, Pelaw. The Governing Body is the Admissions Authority and is responsible for determining the school's admissions policy. Please read the policy carefully as this clearly outlines our selection process and oversubscription criteria.
The government is providing funding to improve the provision of physical education and sport in primary schools. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport. The money will go directly to primary school head teachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for their children.
