Blackstone Optometrists is a well established, Independent practice in Beaconsfield, having been part of the community for nearly 40 years. Owned by Jonathan Nesbitt, an Optometrist with 25 years experience, it continues in that same tradition of first-class service with the latest products and treatments.
Eye examinations are an important way of monitoring your general health and maintaining your eyes at their optimum focus. We recommend sight examinations on a 2 yearly basis, exceptions being children, contact lens wearers and people with certain medical conditions who should be seen annually.
After noting any history or eye symptoms you may have, our Optometrists will carry out detailed examinations to determine your refractive error and the general health of your eyes and surrounding tissues.Supplementary examinations may be carried out if necessary. Vision therapy, or VT, is that part of Optometric care devoted to developing, improving and enhancing people's visual performance. Enhance functioning tasks demanding sustained visual effort remedy or compensate for vision and eye problems, which have already developed. Tracking - the ability to follow a moving object smoothly and accurately with both eyes, such as a ball in flight or moving vehicles in traffic.
We like to use spectacle frame suppliers that you may not see in every practice in the high street. We have a range of both price and styles to suit all faces, our patients tell us it is great to be wearing something a 'little bit' different.

As independent opticians, we are free to source products from any supplier, who excel in the production of specialised lenses, filters and coatings, although we are a Seiko Specialist Centre. We can therefore supply the thinnest, the hardest, the lightest, most suitable product without any compromise to the finished spectacles and vision.

I visited the practice on Saturday as a new patient and was extremely impressed. Jon and the team were simply brilliant. The level of customer service was first rate, so friendly and knowledgable. I felt in good hands as I transition back to wearing contact lenses. Thank you Blackstone team see you again soon!

We have taken our 2 year old son here for his last two pairs of glasses and could not be more impressed. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They are absolutely fantastic with our toddler and so kind and patient even on the days he is less compliant! Would definitely recommend Blackstone Optometrists.

The fact that I have been going to Blackstones for more that 25 years indicates that I have been very happy with their service for a very long time.
I am invited to see them every year for an eye test which includes a very detailed examination of my eyes and they then show me the pictues they have taken of my retina and explain the significance of any changes which may have occured since my last test. I have found that the glasses which have been prescribed to be very satisfactory and if there are any problems with them I can call in and see their technician who is usually able to sort out the
