Pattern glare and the influence of colour and coloured filters in reading is investigated. Three dimensional imaging of the back and front of the eye. This instrument provides a foundation of readings that can be used at future visits to compare and prevent eye problems from developing. We rely on our sight in all aspects of daily life and therefore an eye examination is essential to monitor eye health and maintain the best vision possible.

Brian Kobrin practices the general optometry with a particular interest in pathology screening and contact lens fitting. Achieving optimum health of the eye and vision is of the utmost importance. Brian sees our diabetic patients and is able to offer retinal screenings with state of the art optical coherence tomography and fundus photography which is invaluable in the early detection of glaucoma and other retinal conditions.
We rely on our sight in all aspects of daily life and therefore an eye examination is essential to monitor eye health and maintain the best vision possible. We strive to provide the most thorough eye examinations using the latest technology and equipment so you, the patient, have full confidence in our findings and recommended management.
When we refer to vision we tend to think of how clear we see an image. The sense of sight is really just a small part of vision - a detailed neurological process is involved in vision. Vision refers to the interpretation and understanding of the images that we see. It is this understanding of the images received in the visual cortex that gives us the opportunity to react and respond to our environment.
Alexander Kobrin Optometrists have recently invested in a revolutionary piece of diagnostic equipment that can detect a number of key eye conditions, such as glaucoma, age related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy during a routine eye test. This piece of equipment is called a 3D Optical Coherence Tomography System (3D OCT) and is manufactured by a world leading optical equipment manufacturer, Topcon.

My wife damaged her frames in an accident, called the practice, treated courteously, was able to bring the frames and a 'while you wait service' was carried out, efficiently and timeously, cannot recommend this practice highly enough!
Attended the practice, saw Brian. Totally professional and very experienced. No hassles since then. Highly recommend this practice.

Been using Brian Kobrin's services for years. Very warm and friendly environment and always very helpful. No, not an inexpensive optician, but highly professional and sells very good quality products, plus they're always busy, which is only a good thing. Highly recommended, even if you have to travel some distance to get there..
