Eye exam done by Mr Thanki, he is very thorough, clearly explained his findings & very helpful in giving me tips to look after my eyesight, very lovely gentleman, highly recommend.
My glasses only took 4 days they were ready, considering they had to order a frame for me, amazing services and special thank you to Lauren for helping me chose a frame suited to my face shape, already had so many compliments. The practice was established by Mr Patrick Fitzgerald shortly after he was de-mobbed from the Royal Air Force in 1945. It was situated at 100a Stoke Newington Church Street in Hackney. Above what was then, Locatell's chemist. In 1967 he moved to a former sweet shop three doors away at No. 94. It thrived by offering professional, fully comprehensive eye tests, coupled with a complete range of spectacle frames and contact lenses.
Is our Resident Optometrist. He undertook his professional training in the community and hospital practice. He specialises in contact lens fitting and dry eye. Vishal has undertaken further training in glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and acute eye diseases. With over 15 years experience, Vishal understands the importance of taking the time to listen to the concerns of patients and ensuring that they are fully addressed during the consultation.

Eye examinations are much more than checks for whether you need glasses - we also carry out a range of tests to assess the health of your eyes. They can help detect problems like glaucoma or diabetic eye disease before you notice the effect on your sight.

I broke my specs and immediately called. I got an appointment the next morning. When I arrived, the staff was very nice and I was assured my problem would be solved as quickly as they could. In fact, my specs were fixed the very same day and I fetched them in the afternoon! They told me they did all they could and that they wouldn’t be exactly in the same shape as before, but I can’t see the difference! The job was extremely well made and they are as nice as efficient, totally recommend!

I went for a eye exam initially and everything was smooth and professional. They also seemed to be taking lots of precautions due to the Coivd-19 pandemic which made me feel reassured.
Then came to choosing my glasses, which was were things got even better. The lady who helped me (Lauren I think her name was, massive apologies if that's incorrect) was an absolute star. She knew her stock like the back of her hand and once i described my needs she was pulling out so many great pairs at

I visited Stephen H Davis Optometrists in Stoke Newington for the first time after reading good reviews about the place. I went with an open mind as to what style of spectacles would best suit me and I was relying on their expert advice. I was not disappointed. I was not rushed to choose a frame and was shown an eclectic choice of different styles and colours. Their range of brands and styles is amazing and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
