Many of you will have met me over the years but for those who haven't let me tell you a little about myself. I've always been passionate about animals, for as long as I can remember.

The childhood dream of wanting to be a vet never faded and was fuelled by family pets, horse riding holidays and working at our local vets when at school. Competition for vet school meant a short detour via a biology degree but the old family adage of "if you want something badly enough you will do it" lead to my most valued possession - a veterinary degree from Glasgow Vet School in 1995.

Established in 2009, Hope Veterinary Surgery houses 30+ staff, including 10 vets. We always strive to make personal and compassionate care our main goal, and each and every one of us treats our patients as if they were our own. Our vet consultations cover a wide range of illnesses and preventative healthcare, many of which are listed below.

Team Report

Our nurses and receptionists form a hard working and dedicated team. They play a vital role in the caring for you and your beloved pets. Although many have been with the practice from the beginning we are adding new staff all the time. Head of the team, she has been a general practitioner in the area for many years and does some acupuncture.

The staff are lovely so kind and gentle but very efficient, as they are closed for the holiday we have had daily updates as promised. Our fur baby is improving slowly but he is in the best place

Excellent and prompt attention from the reception staff in getting me an appointment for the following day. When Charlie my Cockapoo was seen by the vet he was diagnosed very quickly. He was given antibiotics by injection immediately and tablets to take for 10 days. With the added advice to come back if things didn't improve, the care and advice given was clear and put our minds to rest. Highly recommend.
