The Rocketeer Restaurant situated in what was once North Berwick's Coastguard Station at North Berwick Harbour, opened summer 2012, and serves fresh local produce.
Seating is provided in a fully enclosed, air-conditioned environment with FREE WIFI, where you can sample the likes of North Berwick lobster, fish and chips, seafood platter and beef burgers accompanied by a selection of soft and alcoholic beverages all year round. Note that we now also offer a take away service for those wishing to enjoy our food in their own home.

Services
The Rocketeer serves the finest local produce from within the walls of what was once North Berwick's Coastguard Station, where in the 19th century local volunteers who would fire rockets, with rescue lines attached, across the bows of stricken vessels in the Firth of Forth. With a seating area now enclosed by a stunning glass structure the views across the beach and out to sea remain a thing of wonder.

Best chips I've ever had, they have now set the bar for all other chips in my life.
We had an evening meal here and the food was lovely, especially on a cold winter night! They have a few gluten free options - I went for the salt and pepper squid, which came with a delicious sriracha mayo sauce. Portion sizes are generous, service is top-notch.
Can't wait to come back!

Great fresh tasty classic seafront dishes in a small friendly environment with views out across the east beach. Gluten free options were clearly marked on the menu, and I was impressed by the way the waitress checked and respected needs to ensure their delicious food was safe (as it ever can be) for this Celiac. First time having salt and pepper squid out (usually have to avoid this sort of place) and it was spot on! Went back for dinner which was also fab

Absolutely fabulous! We had a take away and wow, just amazing, I had the fish goujon burger delicious, hubby the burger with bacon and cheese he agreed delicious, kids orders from the wee ones menu, squid and chips and half fish and chips again perfect all fish tasted like it had just been caught so fresh, even the chips tasted a bit special and the tartar sauce yum yum...this is not a fish and chip shop, this is a gorgeous restaurant with spectacular sea views that just happens to do take aways, even the take away coffee was great! . Prices very reasonable for the quality of the food. The lovely

Had the seafood chowder and fish and chips. The chowder was so fatty it's seemed that it's made with only double cream and butter, although pretty delicious, even when oversalted. Fish itself was pretty nice but the batter it was battered in was very oily and thick, so much so that it seemed that the dish should be named fried batter with chips. A splash of water in the batter thins it out and it makes for crispier batter and less soggy and oily experience than what it was. My friends had different food and they enjoyed it all, so I suppose I was just very unlucky with my choices.

Had the most wonderful and relaxing lunch here on our visit to North Berwick. The food was all really fresh and very tasty. We absolutely loved the Seafood Chowder, if they bottled it we would have bought as much as we could have packed into our car !!! The staff were ever so lovely and pulled out all the stops to accommodate our dog, which we really appreciated!!! Would love to go back.

I can't remember the last time I had lobster, perhaps Belgios in Covent Garden in 2004, so when you are next to the harbour where they bring them in it seemed a good (but, naturally, expensive) opportunity to re-acquaint myself and introduce the Mrs. This is a small restaurant that punches above its weight in quality however has been a bit hobbled by the Covid restrictions due to small size. The menu was very seafood, so naturally my nine year old ordered chicken gujons, the sibling kids fish and chips and we had the sharing platter. I was a bit worried I wouldn't eat it all as we ate fairly early
