We are a family run nursery and pre-school who believe in offering you outstanding care for your child. Our focus is on each child's interests, encouraging every child to learn by exploring and expanding their own imagination, using as much outdoor and natural play as possible, while doing our bit to help the environment too.
Our nursery cares for children aged 0-5 years and is set across 2 sites in the peaceful and natural setting of Attenborough, near Beeston, just a few minutes off Queens Road / Bye-Pass Road. Attenborough nature reserve is on our doorstep, where our pre-school children attend weekly forest school sessions in term time, and allowing us to make the most of our local environment, for regular walks and outdoor exploring.

Services
Attenborough Day Nursery is a private day nursery in the lovely, peaceful conservation village of Attenborough. The director, Sylvia Dobson is very involved in the day to day running of both nurseries and has a foundation degree in childcare. She, together with the excellent team of staff at the nursery, is dedicated to providing the best possible care for your child.

My children have been coming here for nearly 7 years now and we have been so sad to leave now they are starting school. We had tried various chain nurseries before and my little boy was so unhappy. Coming to Attenborough Day Nursery and the way he was settled into the baby room was amazing, the staff throughout all of the rooms really get to know your child and settle them, staff are so friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend Attenborough Day Nursery to anybody looking for the best care for their little ones.

This is an amazing place to send your children. My son started when he was one. This can be a tough time for new parents. Our son like many cried when left. The staff at Attenborough were amazing. Always putting us at ease and letting us call as many times through the day as we wished. This really helped rather than worrying all day at work. My son did settle and this was due to him forming a strong a real bond with his key worker. The staff at Attenborough know our son really well and can tell when he may be a little under the weather. They always look after him as well as you’d wish.

I come into the nursery on a weekly basis to deliver a music session and I have been so impressed with the staff, children and the setting. The staff have a lovely relationship with the children and it feels like an incredibly caring and nurturing environment where the children are happy and comfortable. It always feels very calm and it's so lovely… to see the bonds between the children and staff. I have been made to feel very welcome and supported and it’s a pleasure to see the children get involved with the session and grow in confidence week by week. I always look forward to coming
