The Museum Of Gaming
Our collections include Ancient Gaming, Party and Parlour Games, Tabletop Gaming, Roleplaying Games, Playing Cards, Computer Based Gaming and Special Interest Items. We write articles about interesting items in our collection here. These are mostly written by the museum's curator and we will be expanding these articles every month.

Find out about our past events and any new events we plan. You can also get involved on our social media channels, send us your gaming pics for a shout out or retweet from the museum. The museum is a charity initially formed in 2014 and has reached people from all walks of life through our exhibitions and outreach work.
Services
Our ancient gaming collection contains game related artefacts from many ancient cultures including the Ancient Egyptians, Romans and the Vikings. We have counters, dice, playing pieces, marbles, throwing sticks, and plenty of replica games to play.

We have a large collection of digital games, home computers, gaming consoles, cartridges, cassettes, discs, PC games, arcade machines, handheld gaming devices, manuals, guidebooks, development machines, development tools and documentation.We have an extensive collection of board games dating back to around 1800.
The Museum of Games and Gaming is not open to visitors but has held regular touring exhibitions at gaming events, museums and other cultural organisations. We are currently building our online community but will keep you informed of any events we attend. We are currently building our online community of people interesting in gaming and gaming history.
Thank you for visiting the Museum of Games and Gaming website. Unfortunately we are not currently open to visitors. We are busy re-organising our collections as well as moving the archive to a new location. The Museum of Games and Gaming exists as an independent museum to preserve, illustrate, explore, interpret and document the historical importance of games and the influence of gaming upon society and industry.
