We are a small Voluntary Aided school provided by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham and maintained by Reading Borough. We base our work on the Gospel values of love and inclusion and our Vision statement makes the commitment to "inspire all to lead, through love and service, the life of purpose and excellence that God wants for us."

A child is a gift from God and the first and best teachers of any child are his or her own parents. We are proud of our children and their achievements, our academic standards and the selfless commitment of our staff and our wonderful parent community; a community which we are proud to serve. We believe in working closely with parents to provide the best for our children spiritually, morally and academically.
Services
We follow the National Curriculum and the Early Years Curriculum and the children are taught the subject knowledge and historical enquiry skills they need to behave like a historian. Over the course of an academic year, each class studies three History topics which include a mixture of scientific knowledge and enquiry skills.
We are all unique, but one in Christ. Therefore, we aim for our children to know their faith and value themselves and one another as unique children of God. As a community, we strive to reflect Christ's love as we learn together. We foster a safe, vibrant and stimulating learning environment where all feel welcome, and we promote independence and responsibility by caring for our school, the wider community and all of God's creation.
Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the schools and its pupils, and the performance management of staff;. Overseeing the financial performance of the schools and making sure its money is well spent. As a Federation of Catholic Schools, we have Foundation Governors on the Board.
The role of the Parent & Staff Association (PSA) is to foster extended relationships between the staff, parents, pupils and others associated with our school. Everyone is part of the PSA and collectively we all contribute to creating events that fundraise towards the provision of facilities for play and education at our school.
Our parish church is St. Michael's Church in Sonning Common. Father Michael and Deacon Brian regularly visit the school and hold Masses and Liturgies for the children. The children are prepared for their First Holy Communion in Year 3 and their Confirmation in Year 6 at school in conjunction with the parish.
