Services
Situated within the village of Ansdell, we provide a wide range of medical services for local people, from one-off problems to longer-term illnesses. The practice is a member of NHS Fylde and Wyre Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the organisation responsible for buying high quality, safe and effective health services to meet the needs of local people.
The NHS in England is using an electronic record called the Summary Care Record (SCR) to support patient care. The Summary Care Record is a copy of key information from your GP record. It provides authorised healthcare staff with faster, secure access to essential information about you when you need unplanned care or when your GP practice is closed.
Everyone who is cared for by the NHS in England has formal rights to make choices about the service they receive. These include the right to choose a GP surgery, to state which GP you'd like to see, to choose which hospital you're treated at, and to receive information to support your choices. NHS Fylde and Wyre Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has published a guide to help patients make choices about their NHS care.
Below is a list of the Surgery based clinics that we offer. Please consult with your GP in the first instance. A comprehensive service is available by appointment with the doctors or practice nurses. The fitting of coils is done by special arrangement - please enquire. The 'morning after' pill is available by appointment with a doctor, and if required, this should be made clear to the reception team, to ensure a same day appointment.
During the hours when the surgery is closed and when it is a non-emergency situation, please telephone 111. This will connect you to the national NHS 111 service, who will assess your condition and direct you to the local service best suited to your needs. For any serious life-threatening emergencies, such as chest pain or shortness of breath, always call 999.

Once again I have re ordered my monthly prescription and yet again it has been actioned incorrectly by the surgery. I have highlighted the requests on the form but it seems to have been ignored. They have processed medication I don’t need and didn’t re-request. My urgent orders for my colitis hasn’t been done. This is at least the sixth time in the last 12 months an order has been processed incorrectly. In the past Ive received 18 tablets for a medication I take 6 a day of ..... (3 days worth for a month!!!!!) when I rang to complain she apologised for the surgeries mistake but said if I

I can't believe that there are so few positive reviews for Ansdell Medical and the amazing people who work there. I have always had prompt courteous and efficient service from them. Once I had a bit of a wait, but that's bound to happen occasionally - it is a Medical service, not a conveyor belt. The staff and Doctors work extremely hard under a lot of pressure, and deserve our appreciation. It only takes a couple of minutes to write a review, to let these dedicated people know that they are appreciated.

Courtesy and kindness.
I rang the surgery last week with shortness of breath, l was given an appointment for later that afternoon. I was seen by Doctor and immediately sent to the Mobile Emergency Unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital were a bed was available. Numerous tests diagnosed a life threatening condition which would not have been detected at this early stage without the prompt and professional action of your lady Doctor.
Over the years many conditions both small or great have always been attended too with the greatest professional expertise, courtesy and kindness, not only for myself but

All doctors here are friendly and in my experience they can’t do enough to help. The new triage system cuts down waiting times and phone appointments are quicker and convenient. I am a regular here with my two young children and know the surgery regularly reviews things to try and improve the service offered.
