Doctorlink is a useful tool to assess your medical needs and point you in the right direction, whether that be to access a local service, advice on an over the counter remedy or book you in to see a GP or nurse. Simply input your symptoms and using their clinically created algorithm, Doctorlink will guide you on the appropriate course of action.
We undertake training of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year medical students. These are students early in their medical training who are learning skills of history taking and examination. Medical Students are working in Practice daily and are closely supervised by one of our GP Trainers. Medical students are encouraged to interact with patients for example they may take a history or perform a medical examination.

Corona virus was the best excuse for doctors to avoid patients. Its impossible to get an appointment. Last time i did i never saw a doctor it was phone only and they didnt solve the problem and were not interested in helping. They need to go back to how it was before the virus, they were alright then and doctors actually cared.

Friendly helpful reception staff, and good doctors. No complaints.
Unfortunately there is a fairly long wait for telephone consultations. I have had to wait almost 3 weeks.
Is this due to covid? The lack of doctors?Simply too great a demand for gp services .
It's too easy to blame the surgeries when there are obviously pressures outside of their control

I'm very unhappy with how I've been treated. My access to online services were terminated because I "ordered my medication the wrong way". So I, someone with extreme anxiety and depression, now has to call up every month (if I have credit on my phone), despite my anxiety making it very difficult for me, for essential medication, because ONE TIME I ordered it by filling in a request on an NHS APPROVED pharmacy delivery website. I placed an order for MY medication with the pharmacy that would be handling it, i didn't share sensitive information with a third party. This is a completely unacceptable

I'm not entirely sure why it is, perhaps some clarity can be given by whoever reads the reviews here?
Have any 80+ yr old patients been offered the COVID vaccine yet?
A relative of mine, who struggles to leave the house/travel long distance (anything more than a few miles is very difficult and could lead to substantial distress) has not yet been offered the vaccine. She has been offered to go to Blackburn, but this is out of the question.
Are you able to send patients to a more local practice if you are not yet giving the vaccine?
Any advice welcomed.

Some GPs are helpful but there is no consistency of care.
emailed the practice and rang without any returned email or call.
I WAITED A WEEK FOR A TELEPHONE CONSULTATION DUE TO COVID ..On explaining my symptoms, Dr S Choudry actually said "what do you want me to do about it" told me to contact the Hospital gynaecology, even though I have been discharged!
On ringing back Marton Medical to say I needed to be referred again they wanted to book me another phone consultation for a week next Thursday!.. no care quality at all. worst doctors I have ever been registered with. Doesn't warrant a single

I also saw Dr Choudary. I was told at the walk in centre to get there 1st thing Monday. I rang to book that morning to be told a doctor had cancelled the appointment just made for me & they would sort it out & get back to me. So I got to my appointment early. Watched the last patient leave his clinic earlier than I was due in. Then I was called in 15mins late. I had to practically diagnose myself. While he sat there with no help. No check up or interest. Just an insult to try & belittle me. He smirked at me even. I have never been treated like this by a doctor before & I will never see him again

Moved to this surgery from Adelaide street which was a absolute shambles and after reading 1 or 2 bad reviews I was sceptical. Having said that I have been here for 6 months now and you do have to wait a month for an appointment but that is standard these days.I can say that I have been treated in a caring professional way by the reception staff and the doctor and nurses etc.

Moved here after my own doctors closed down. Would not recommend it. Doctors give a distinct impression of only being there to collect their pay, don't attempt to fix anything or figure out what is wrong, and treat you like you're just wasting their time if you have complex medical needs. Now looking for another doctors. Avoid at all costs.
