The Governing Board works in close co-operation with the staff, children and parents to ensure the effective management of the school. Our role is to provide a strategic view of where the school is heading and to support and challenge the Headteacher with the daily running of the school. As a Governing Board we welcome your views and if you have anything you want to talk over, please contact any member of the Governing Board through the school.
At Brixworth Primary School we aim to ensure all our pupils have a voice. We have a School Council, which is elected by children within their class at the start of the academic year. The School Council works to make improvements to the school and the way we do things in Brixworth. School Council members are always looking for ways to make a difference to the children within our school.
In 2018 the school welcomed 'The girls' who settled in very quickly to their new home. They love to be scratting in the bushes and making themselves dust baths. Each class look after the hens for a week at a time; duties include letting them out, putting them safely in at night, feeding, collecting the eggs and cleaning them out.
