Came for dinner on New Years Day. Service was fantastic, but the food was overall quite disappointing for the price. The children's meals don't come with any vegetables at all (which in this day and age is pretty unacceptable) we had to purchase an adults side of veg just for our 2 year old. The starters, to be fair, were very nice, but again for the beef burger mains, there wasn't a piece of green in sight, no salad in the burger, no garnish, nothing, it was a big plate of beige. For the price of the burgers you'd expect a tiny amount of green without having to order another side dish...

Excellent food and service; spoiled by the family in the bar who were obviously sobriety-challenged and proceeded to row and swear constantly. They were talking to/knew the bar staff too but the latter did nothing to stop this obstreporous behaviour which was visibly making other diners and drinkers pretty uncomfortable- this would have been a 5 star review otherwise.
I think the staff need to assess priorities a little.
Kind of spoiled my wife's birthday lunch somewhat.

A 4.5 for us. Great food and well balanced menu; really lovely, welcoming staff, nice atmosphere. We’d definitely book again. Was a bit noisy with the acoustics in the glass-roofed restaurant, but otherwise ticked all our boxes for a relaxed family supper. Plenty of parking. Easy to drive to.

Absolutely perfect in every way, we stayed in November 2021, rooms are well set out and cosy, but the staff are absolutely amazing so so lovely and the food! Wow we have eaten at soooo many places and have been here at least 4 times now and every time it has been spot on. Couldn't recommend the plume enough.

We stayed at The Plume of Feathers, November 1st - 4th. If I could give 10 stars, I would. The rooms are in cottage type buildings at the back of the pub. Our rooms were comfy, cozy and spotlessly clean. Lots of thought has gone into what is provided in the rooms, right down to an umbrella hanging by the door so you don't have to get wet walking the short distance from your room to the restaurant/bar. There is a dog walking area with bin provided. Sarah went above and beyond to help us with our booking. We booked from overseas and there were many complications on our end but Sarah was fantastic

Great food and very friendly staff. Our Cornwall friends took us to dinner there. My squid with bacon jam (yes that's correct) innovative and tasty. Bread butter pudding a holiday treat.

So firstly I’d like to say how lovely the rooms are. Cozy, cute, clean, welcoming, good amenities. If this were purely a hotel or a B&B then it would be 4 stars, however… the restaurant food just wasn’t up to scratch.
The restaurant is pub food and pub food at best. Very little seasoning, most things bland, over or undercooked, lacking in any kind of originality concept wise and somewhat lacking in execution. Best thing on the menu were the cheeses but even then the baked Camembert had little going on aside from the fact it was baked, gooey cheese. No additional flavour or seasoning.

Location:
Lovely area, easy to find and charging facilities for Tesla / electrical vehicles
Venue:
Modern, stylish and extremely clean. Even our 9yr old commented on how clean the toilets were.
Staff:
Brilliant service, polite and very helpful.
Menu:
No specials board and what you see on the website menu is what you get.
Food:
So food servings are, well small at best. If your looking for a hearty meal you’ll need a starter, mains & dessert (that said the cheese & biscuits I had was very enjoyable).
That said, although small was well presented and all fresh and hot.
Drinks:
