Can't believe this, but the crown jewel of outdoor English bowling, does not keep bar open during national tourments, and to get coffee or even soft drink, then your only option is a franchised cafe attached to bowling club, which is very expensive. But local knowledge the Cricketers pub opposite. Decent prices excellent food. The bowling clubs loss!

The home of English bowls, the 4 greens are impeccably maintained and the greenskeeper keeps a very high standard, even in the heatwave we have had this year the grass has still been green. I've bowled here for 8 years in the Visually Impaired Bowls England National Championships and cannot fault the greens. Key code changing rooms keep your things safe and the clubhouse bar, when open is cheap.
