Welford Bowls Club is a friendly club, catering to all levels of bowling ability, with excellent facilities including Outdoor and Indoor bowling greens. Please note the Club does NOT have a Short Mat Bowls facility. The Club also offers the opportunity for anyone interested in joining to learn how to play Bowls (sometimes called Lawn Bowls).
Coaching can be arranged for new or current bowlers. Outdoor matches are played during afternoon, evening and weekends against other clubs and visiting Touring teams. National and County competitions are played to a schedule whilst Club competitions are played to a scheduled date for each round.

Services
Welford on Avon Bowls Club was formed in 1933 and, like so many village clubs, played on the vicarage lawn. Then a 'three rinker' became the new site in Mill Lane. A 'three rinker' was normal for a village bowling club in this area, only larger clubs in the locality, such as Bidford on Avon or Stratford upon Avon, would have had a six rink green.
Welford Bowls Club has excellent Club Facilities including a function room which is available to hire to both members and guests. In addition to Outdoor and Indoor Bowls we also have a function room with a licensed bar, which doubles as a Skittles Alley, and may be hired for wedding receptions, birthday celebrations, fitness training, community meetings etc.
