We have now completed our over 80, 75 and 70 year age groups and the clinically vulnerable. If you are in one of these age categories and have not had the vaccine as yet, please contact the surgery (01708 853113 and ask to speak to Ahmed or Ashleigh). We have not been able to contact some names as we don't have the correct telephone numbers.
It is URGENT that we have your current mobile and telephone numbers. We will be moving on to the next age cohort and will contact patient's via a SMS. This will allow you to book directly into the clinic. Those patients who do not have a mobile number on their medical record will be telephoned. It is very important your contact details are kept up to date.

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

We regret that we are unable to take repeats on the phone except in the case of housebound patients or by prior arrangement with the doctor. Emergency prescriptions and advice will be dealt with by telephone after consulting with the doctor. By arrangements with your local chemist prescriptions can be collected and dispensed by the chemist.

Been with this surgery for over 16 years. The receptionists are lovely and Dr yasin and her staff are amazing. However you used to be able to easily book an appointment, even if it was the following week they'd still book in advance and you knew you had an appointment. Recently the booking system has changed so you have to call as soon as the surgery opens to get an appointment for the same day. You call on time and get put in a queue, by the time you get through all the appointments are gone and you have to call back again the next morning. 3 days I've been trying to get an appointment, this system

This surgery has been my surgery for 4 years when I moved from London to Ockendon. It is very difficult to get an appointment to see a doctor or telephone appointment. Reception staff are so rude and doesn’t put patients needs first. Staff are so unprofessional in this surgery. So many people in the area do not want this surgery. If only I knew. It is such a shame I can not change GP within Ockendon area unless I moved from the area.

Getting an appointment here is like trying to get tickets for Glastonbury! The phone lines open at 8 and usually by 08:10 all the appointments for the day are fully booked. You can't book an appointment for the following day so if you miss that 10 minute window or you can't get through cos the line is busy then you're not seeing the doctor.

Slightly confused with the appointments procedure. I’ve lived in this area for just over a year and a half and every time I want to make an appointment I get told to call back on the day. Why don’t you have a system to book in advance? This would make life so much easier. However, just called at 8am, was in the queue for 4minutes and when a lady answered asked for the earliest appointment for today and she said the earliest they have is at 3.15pm? Is this even possible? After 4 minutes of opening to be fully booked until late afternoon? I’ve visited this practise a few times and always found

The GP is amazing, I love the staff from reception to practice nurse to the doctors.
The phones in the morning can be annoying however once you are through they will give you 100%.
They will make an effort to know every patient 1/1 basis.
They have been there for my family every step of the way from small to big things. They have watched my family grow.
Keep doing what you guys do, your the best x

I cannot speak highly enough of this practice, from all aspects the Reception Staff are friendly and caring, the nurses will put themselves out to help and Dr Yasin can do no wrong in my eyes. I feel without her care I might not be here now. I know it can be frustrating when the phone is busy or you have to wait for an appointment but in my experience if it is truly an emergency the staff will try their best to make sure you get the care you need when you need it.
