Cedar House
Cedar House is a registered charity, which has been providing counselling to the people of the Preston area since 1998. We opened initially with a special focus on pregnancy-related crises, but have grown over the years and now offer counselling on a wide range of issues to men and women alike. We provide up to 120 counselling appointments each week.

Counselling at Cedar House is simply an opportunity to talk over difficulties or problems in a relaxed and friendly environment with someone who is trained to listen and to help you to find your way forward. While we might be able to help you to understand why you feel the way you do, we won't interfere with your life or tell you what to do.
Services
Our clients tell us that there is a warm and welcoming atmosphere at Cedar House and it is our aim to make all our visitors feel accepted, respected and at home. Our building is neither posh nor clinical - but people seem to like it that way! Our team of dedicated counsellors, both men and women, are all volunteers and are trained to professional standards, many with years of experience.
Cedar House is a Registered Charity, and as such we rely on volunteers for most of our staffing. We are funded by donations, grants and gifts. Welcomers are often the first person a client speaks to or sees when they contact Cedar House. Responsible for answering the phones, and greeting people when they come into Cedar House, the welcomers play a vital role in the smooth running of Cedar House.
Life can throw all sorts of things at us. It could be a sudden crisis or it might be something that has been around for years, something which affects our daily lives and just will not go away. If you would like to access Counselling at Cedar House please telephone our friendly staff on 07923 166 295 or 01772 880 909.
If you would like further information about counselling service we provide, the best way to get in touch is by calling our reception on Tel: 01772 880 909 or Mobile: 07923 166 295. Negligent. Despite being a charity there's no compassion by the staff that work here. Don't go if you are expecting kindness, compassion or to be spoken to like a human being. Signed me up then therapist was off. Horrible experience with telephone staff who made it clear they wouldn't help

If you're reading this review, you clearly need some help - Cedar House is where you'll find the help you need, so don't put it off - call them today....However, please be aware they are a Charity Organisation and have limited resources, you may have to wait a few weeks for your first session, but they will do their utmost to get back to you as swiftly as they can (and they don't charge huge amounts for this service, but simply ask for a modest donation within your means) - so believe me, they're WELL worth the wait.....

Was told there will be 12-14 weeks wait. I told them its urgent and she replied I could get a private counselor. Well, not everyone can afford to go to a private counselor. Disappointed!

Visited them in June, called twice in August/September, still on the 'waiting list'. Never go back from them.
