Abuse affects all levels of society. It can be both physical - for example, punches, broken bones, bruises - and emotional abuse. All physical violence is abuse. The results of physical abuse are often apparent (although they can be hidden), but emotional abuse cannot be seen. It is a form of brainwashing and it sometimes occurs over a long period of time.
For some people the problem becomes serious and interferes with everyday life. Anger isn't a problem within itself but it becomes a problem when it is too strong, occurs too often, spoils relationships or leads to violence and aggression. We do not feel anger without a reason. If we gain insight into the reason behind the feeling, we can then find healthy ways to have needs behind the anger met.
It is eating for a reason other than responding to hunger. We need to look at these reasons. Eating can be imbued with a great deal of emotion. Emotional eating is controlled not only with healthier foods or smaller portions, but by getting whatever help and support you need to learn how to handle non-hunger urges.
Let's be clear from the outset. I'm not talking about the occasional splurge when you fancy treating yourself and you'll have to pay for it from next month's money. I'm talking here about something that is habitual. You may not do it for six months, but then the problem returns and the situation may become out of control.
Depression ranges from mild to severe. It may simply be a feeling that something's not right. You may think that you never used to feel like this, and that you've lost your spark but you don't know why. On the other hand, depression can be much more serious and very debilitating. You may find getting up in the morning difficult before feeling slightly better in the afternoon.

I can't thank Josephine enough for how my life has transformed over the past 12 months. I've gone from somebody who was planning a way out of this world to now loving life and living it to the full. I am following my dreams and my confidence has soared. Josephine has helped me unlock my potential and not be afraid to use it. I've never felt so excited about living. Thank You! X

After suffering from no confidence, low self esteem and serious worthiness issues (amongst other issues) throughout my life, I reached a point where I needed serious help in resolving these as they were causing huge problems for me – I could not have found a better psychotherapist than Josephine to help and assist me.
Professional yet warm, personable and very understanding, she took the time to get to know me & understand my afflictions fully in order to best help me move forward. It was not easy, sometimes very upsetting & difficult emotionally but I always felt better about myself and my

After spending a lot of my life filled with anxiety, self doubt and sadness I decided to seek help from Josephine. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Looking back I barely recognise the person I was when I first began therapy with Josephine. I now can't imagine living with that level of fear, stress and self loathing. I have taken control of my life and move closer to achieving my goals everyday. Josephine has equipped me with strategies that suit me. She is not only warm, friendly and approachable but creative, insightful, intelligent and bespoke in her approach. I would highly

Josephine helped me peel away the years of layered poor projected sense of self and a warped negative self- image. With Josephine's creative methods, her warmth and patience she taught me that childhood trauma distorted my view on the world, including my interaction with other and in turn put me on a secure road to a hopeful and healthy future. She is awesome!

Josephine is a fantastic lady who is always able to listen with empathy. She has a broad view of the world- you will not shock her...
I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to improve themselves in any small way- you might be surprised what psychotherapy can change in your life.
Her approach is versatile and flexible and she will alter your sessions to suit what works best for you.
I am incredibly grateful to her for the difference she has made to my life- I see my sessions as an investment in myself.

I've been working with Josephine Cropper during 2015 to help her get the word out about her work, especially in the area of trauma. She has been so wonderful and open to work with and I know from feedback just how valuable her work is to clients so I just wanted to let the world know I think the world of her and what she does. Thank you.

I went to Josephine with a lot of uncertainty in my mind as I didn't really know what Psychotherapy was but I'd heard great things about her so went along for a chat. Josephine put me at ease and encouraged me to talk in a relaxed environment.
Despite being unsure about what help I needed, I found I opened up quickly under her guidance and she's a fantastic listener. More importantly, when I found myself getting upset or embarrassed, she made me feel reassured and not judged in the slightest which is exactly what I needed and the main reason I kept going back.
Josephine steadily navigated me

In writing this I just wanted to thank Josephine for all her help and continuing support.
Before contacting Josephine, I had read many self help books, in the hope of finding a way forward. They amounted to just words on a piece of paper, and hard to make sense of. at times. Josephine helped to give those words meaning and clarity, opening up new dialogue, resulted in a better understanding of what was going on in my life. Her no nonsense, straight talking, and yet, quiet disposition, formed a platform on which problems were gently analysed. Josephine possesses deep awareness

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all the help I have received. I honestly did not think that talking would help, but I feel a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I just really wish I had come to you sooner instead of thinking things would go away and struggling through. Thanks to your help the world seems a better place to me.
